Thanks for the efforts taken. Elac at $700 competes well with $1,700 R3.

In my country, a pair of these ELACs are 600$, while KEFs are $2000. Would love to have the R3s as well, but they just don't make any sense, unless you really have the cash to throw around.

Thank's E Project, for fixing the technical issues in the last comparison video of these. Both sound good with the SA-10 here. I feel it may have more bennefit with the smoother and less bright and lively DBR62s, leaning and brightening their mids a trace and giving them nice, clean bass and treble energy.

both are very good in their category. good pairings, this sounding is my taste. an SA10 could come next to my DBRs. but an Audiolab 6000A will do! :)

I preferred the Elac DBR62. Now try to make the confrontation between MA Bronze 100 VS Elac DBR62 VS Polk R200 VS KEF R3 using Audiolab 6000A. And try to put a separate video of the MA Bronze + Audio Lab 6000A And B&W 705S2 + Audiolab.

thanks, I will make those soon

Great comparison review! I'm curious, do you think you would be able to get your hands on a pair of ARENDAL 1723 MONITOR THX speakers? Their specs and reviews are pretty impressive. I'd really like to see how they audibly compare to the KEF R3s, which I think sound pretty amazing.

MA Bronze 100 VS Wharfedale Diamond 12.2 with Audio Lab 6000A would also be a good matchup. Just like Elac DBR62 VS 12.2 with the same Audiolab.

Much closer than some of the other R3 vs comparisons. The 62s pair very well with this amp and sound fantastic. If I had to use this amp, I would take the 62s vs the R3s with their current prices. But I think the R3s sound better than this in other videos with different amps.

The R3 sounds very good...

(The R3's demo balance is towards to a little right, but it's alright.)

Some went wrong with microphones, Kef R3 sounded more from right side while Elacs sounds in full stereo and in that case sounded more atractive, but R3 have better imaging and accuracy. In room listening, not thru YT i think R3 would sound a bit more mature and precise. But Elacs sounded very pleasant and atractive - soft and huging from both sides. Kefs sounded like mono - for me the demo is invalid.

I would love to see this comparison with the CXA81, CXA61, R12 or A01. I don't think this amp is good for the R3s so it makes it hard to judge.

You think the KEF Q350 stands up against the Elac DBR62? Worth a comparison?
@ΠαυλοςΚαρανατσης2 жыл бұрын
I believe that if you are not using WAAAY better speakers (or headphones) than the speakers tested to listen to the video, then the result will be extremely unfair for the best speaker tesed. In no way you can appreciate what a better speaker can offer if you listen to it through an inferior speaker. And the question I always have when reading the comments in these kind of videos is: what will you hear if you listen to the video through one of the speakers tested? The "detail" and "soundstage" are characteristics of the medium you are using to hear the video, the only real differences you hear are differences in the frequency response of each speaker tested and that very much depends on the medium you use (and its own frequency response) and not the ones tested.

E, what actually went wrong with that vid?

I am not sure exactly, but I guess It was happened during synchronization of two audio files. I use two sets of microphones. ( one L+R, another L+R)

dear E! I would be interested in a NAD C316 + DBR62 pairing so that I can compare it to your channel with Audiolab and see how similar it is to what I have listened to at home. thank you for doing so (if possible)

Trying to compare sound on KZbin doesn’t really work! Which ones did you like best?
@boogeyratt2 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. Sure, it's limited by your own listening speakers (if you're doing it on a phone you might as well just put pencils in your ears), but you can VERY easily hear different sound signatures, even if it's not the speaker's "true" sound..
