Very impressive singing! Songs of Spanish origin have very specific, unique melody and rythm, often quite difficult for those who are not aquainted with Spanish folklore or musical heritage. Such is "Islas Canarias" to me and I am not an expert. The melody of the refrain is especially difficult to follow and repeat, seems to me to be a bit "atonal" - at least for the time being, until I get used to it. But JDF undoubtedly has these tunes and "air" under his skin, and no wonder. And sounds beautifully and powerfully in this somewhat primary, wild and longing song... Bravo!
