I tend to prefer the sound of the EHX, as it seems to have less of that ‘Strymon-sheen’ thing going on that I don’t like … Do you feel they both track notes/poly as well as each other? 🤔

I hear you on the sheen (which I don't mind so much), but please note that the Boss has pretty powerfull tone and clarity options. So I feel you could dial these sounds down so they are more in the background (and lose the sheen). Tracking wise they both are awesome, no complaints there!

Great video! I like the sound of the superego so much more. I find the boss to sound really plasticity. The effects seem to sound better on the superego. I really don’t like the arpeggios on the boss. Your playing was great and really helped with my decisions to buy the ehx. Thanks

Personally, I think it's important to balance sparkly/clean pieces like the boss with warmer/rounder pieces like the EHX. Some pedal chains can benefit from one and some from the other. I made the mistake of chasing only warm/rounded pedals early on and my whole board smeared together. If I'm making any sense, lol.

Sorry a bit late to this but which one is a one trick pony? Which one is better in your opinion?

The Boss has indifintely more sound options, but also sounds weaker from the get go (because of no delay or reverb). The EH has the better sound, but is more of a one-trick pony.
