I really like these comparisons you do, but I think it would be important to give a sound comparison recorded through a mic. The sound does differ quite a bit and things like the Kawaii Soundboard get completely lost when only hearing the sample.

Ich habe mir vor 2 Wochen das CA99 gekauft weil die Tastatur und der Klang einfach viel weniger Digital ist bzw sich die Tastatur zu 99% anfühlt wie bei einem Flügel! Ein befreundeter Profi Pianist war gestern bei mir und war absolut begeistert von der Tastatur „unglaublich realistisch und schnell zu spielen! Gibt eine tolle Rückmeldung und reagiert hoch sensibel!“ und vom Klang „Kaum zu glauben, ich habe das Gefühl, mit geschlossenen Augen, vor einem Flügel zu sitzen…! Das Spielen macht einen unglaublichen Spaß! Das kenne ich sonst nur vom akustischen Klavier!“ waren seine Anmerkungen dazu. Er hat uns ein Konzert von fast 3 Stunden gegeben…😂 Diese Aussagen von einem klassischen Profi Konzertpianisten haben mir zusätzlich das Gefühl gegeben das ich einen guten Kauf getätigt habe! Ich war vorher schon glücklich aber jetzt bin ich es noch ein wenig mehr😉

Viel Ahnung scheint der Profi nicht zu haben, sonst würde ihm der Unterschied zu guten akustischen Instrumenten auffallen.

@@funklover24 Natürlich gibt es Unterschiede! Was ist das für ein blöder Kommentar…?! Mit dem CA 99 hat man nicht nur 1 Klavier sondern gleich mehrere zur Auswahl! Die Tastatur ist absolut nicht von einer „echten Flügeltastatur“ zu unterscheiden! Das CA99 klingt verblüffend akustisch! Durch das Soundboard das die Schwingungen der Töne auf den gesamten Klavierkörper überträgt hat man ein absolut identisches Gefühl wie bei einem akustischen Klavier. Das ist nicht nur meine sondern die Meinung vieler Fachjournalisten und Profimusiker die das CA 99 gespielt haben. Wenn man als professioneller Pianist direkt selbst am CA99 sitzt und spielt, dabei eins der Pedale betätigt hört man tatsächlich natürlich einen Unterschied bzw. den Klang durch die Lautsprecher. Ich habe selbst den Test erlebt wo jemand 2 Flügel und das CA99 hinter einem Vorhang angespielt hat, keiner der Profi Konzertpianisten im Raum hat sagen können welches davon nun das CA 99 war. Alle waren aber vorher der Meinung sie würden es sofort heraushören…! Ja, beim direkten anspielen, wenn man selbst das Instrument anspielt, das Gefühl der Tastatur, den Anschlag spürt und dann bewusst den Klang seziert, dann nimmt man den Unterschied wahr! Zudem habe ich in einem Instrument mehrere Klaviere und andere Instrumente in einer absolut hochwertigen Klangfülle sowie die Möglichkeit auch im Hochhaus zu üben ohne die Nachbarn zu stören! Ich kenne solche Kommentare wie den ihren zu hauf und finde diese Einstellung völlig überholt und mittelalterlich! Ich mache jede Wette das auch sie in einem oben beschriebenen Experiment genauso kläglich scheitern würden! Man kann sich auch ne Menge einbilden…. Und zum Thema „gute akustische Instrumente: Ich habe schon etliche „gute“ Klaviere gehört die tonal wesentlich schlechter klangen als ein NV5, NV10, CA99 oder ein CLP785! Mein Auto fährt seit dem letzten Ölwechsel gefühlt auch schneller…👍😂

The comparison gives a very good idea of the differences in sound between these two excellent pianos. It would be interesting to know how the actions feel differently from a pianist standpoint. The pianist seems to have more control while playing the NU1x (maybe he just enjoys it more) and it sounds closer to an accoutic than the CA-99. The ending to the Fantasie from the NU1x is so authentic! Perhaps I was influenced subconsciously by the movement of the action. In any case either one is a good buy.

Its a hybrid, so its a digital with a 'real' accoustic action. kawai has the same in the Novus series.

The CLP-785 is very similar to the Yamaha NU-1X in terms of the sound. It is not the exact same sound engine, but it is still Yamaha CFX Grand samples :)

If you are going to compare different companies, you should be comparing the Kawai's NV5 to Yamaha's NU1x?

At least where I live, the NU1X is exactly the halfway-point between the CA-99 and the NV-5S (price-wise). So... neither comparison is entirely accurate? Though I suppose that the NU1X and NV-5S both have the full piano mechanism whereas the CA-99 is... abbreviated, so there's that.

For those who want an acoustic piano keyboard, the NV5 or NU1X depending on how much you are going to spend. Otherwise, the CLP785 is a good alternative, or CA99 at a slightly lower price point.

the CA99 samples sound much more spacious, maybe it's just the difference between an upright and a grand piano.

I agree. Plus the Ca99 has lots more piano sounds. Not sure which preset was used here. Getting that "Air" sound is important I feel.
