It’s nice to see someone apply the matting without covering every single inch on the interior

Cheers it literally says on their site to not do this. There is no need. Thanks for watching 👍

Looks like a nice easy thing to put in and will make a massive difference. Also nothing nicer than doing a job on a car with the Mrs. Another step closer to the road !

Definitely a worth while job thanks for sure. Also nice to have some cooper time and actually get something back on the car

Aha well we met at a classic mini owners club. She loves to muck and get bits done on the cars.

Was looking at Dodo website the other day for some sound insulation on my R50… that 10% off code will come in handy 👌🏻 It might be worth considering putting that roam mat on the lower half of the bulkhead to help block the engine / exhaust noise… and on inner wheel arch panel to block road/ tyre road and stone chip sound

Glad it will come of some help buddy. Yes we are planning on putting some in places and that’s one of the areas. Once the interior goes in we will sort it. Thanks for watching 👍

Look forward to seeing how you do the headlining. Done it once & it was a horrible job, didn't go too well!

Thanks buddy that’s a job Mrs S is looking forward to. She did the budget clubman if you remember back to that series and it came out lovely

It’s coming as soon as I can clear space in the workshop. Trust me I just want to work on it to.

you often see the sound deadening completely covering the floor, but when you look at factory cars you can see that they only apply patches is specific places. guess they research the acoustics of the shell.

Exactly plus most company say to only cover 50% there is no need for more. Cheers for watching 👍

The mat is sound deadening and the liner is sound profiling. deadening 50 to 70% proofing I aim to get as close to 100% as possible to get best results

We will add more like mentioned on the video as the build progresses. Thanks for watching 👍

Iv got this product from dodo, j was thinking of sticking it to the carpet itself rather than the floor? What you think?
@SimpsonsClassics6 ай бұрын
That’s not a bad idea at all. I wonder how that would last. Interesting 🤔
@bradleeclark23096 ай бұрын
@SimpsonsClassics I had been thinking that but it is so sticky I'm sure it would last

I wasn't a fan of sound deadening although it's made a massive difference.

Me neither but it does make a difference that’s for sure
