Matt, this is a nice demo. Can't see why these doofs are complaining. I don't see TUTORIAL anywhere in the title. I enjoyed this thoroughly.

That was the plan - just showing it off today. Its so straightforward I don't see much need for explaining.

Matt Cellitti Hi Matt, is it possible to run the iPad into Ableton wirelessly such as using Bluetooth, or must it involve a cable?

Thanks Matt, I have seen some videos on recording via iRig setup etc and such stuff using iPad/iPhone so I will try some of that stuff - another question...I have lots of melodies not greatly tuned (Isinging) - sung quickly on my iphone, is there a - melody/pitch correction/enhancer - that I can use on ableton tracks, but not Auto-Tune that is to unnatural....would appreciate some advice - thanks???

Auto_tune doesn't have to be overly unnatural like you often hear it being used. Subtle correction can be rather transparent. Perhaps try Melodyne which gives you additional control over pitch.

I just use a 1/8th" - stereo 1/4" cable. The 1/8" from the iPad headphone out and the 1/4" stereo into my audio interface inputs. Within Ableton, I record those stereo inputs to an audio track. Cable link: Hosa CMP-159

Matt - how can this be done in Ableton, aka simply gets your samples on beat.
@MattCellittiMusicTutorials10 жыл бұрын
Match the BPM of the app to Ableton's tempo. Or sample the parts in and then warp accordingly.

I am amazed at the depth of explanation.....................................................................................................................................where's Gaz Williams when you need him.

The idea behind this tutorial was simply to show off the app's creative possibilities without making it a tutorial. We feel that there is a bit of "tutorial overload" on YT these days and wanted to try something new - hence the lack of explanation and instruction. It was by design.

Finally someone gets it. Im so sick of looking up music apps to hear the actual app and hearing nothing but some guy talking.
