Thank YOU! This was one of my first two synths I bought about 6 months ago and the learning curve threw me for a loop. A lot of people were bad-mouthing the Medusa, but I could tell she had great potential and you not only proved that but really helped to demonstrate how to use this synth properly to us beginners. You are a HERO!!

I seem to gravitate toward pad sounds on any synth. The first thing I want to do with a monosynth is feed it through some reverb and delay and make a pad or drone. I learned some good tips here on making Medusa pads more interesting. Thanks, Miltos! I'm looking forward to the FM video. Sidenote: I really enjoy your sound design. Every musician brings their own personality to the sounds they create and to the instrument they're playing. I like what you bring!

Thank you Kyle, I am also a fan of this type of atmospheric sounds so in most cases I find my sounds more complete with the addition of some reverb delay, etc. It depends of course on the musical context every time. Until now the sounds I demonstrate are quite simple but with the use of FM we are going to have some more interesting timbres, so I also look forward to making these videos.

Hi Miltos, I really enjoy your medusa series!! The sounds you get from this nice synth make me want to play it :D Please keep the good work up, I think your videos are very simple but clear. I also enjoy no talking in the vids so i can just listen to the sound aswell. Big fan

WOOOOW, I love your tutorials for the Medusa. It really trips me up as a beginner, it does not work like the other subtractive synths I used. Or to be more exact, it does give the results I expect when I tweak it. Your tutorials really make it so much clearer. BUT, I have a burning question: do you have a tutorial for the sound that shows up at 7:40 in the top right corner of your video? It’s a sound I have been dying to recreate but I don’t even know what it’s called. I would love to use the Medusa to build it but I have no clue where to start. :S At any rate, thanks a ton for sharing those immensely useful videos :)

How can I get a program init, you know, with nothing set so you can build from scratch? Appreciate any help.
@miltos_schima4 жыл бұрын
To start from an init state I just use one of the available init patches from Bank B. Just make sure to have one available (for example B64) or you can reload Bank B with the Medusa tool if needed.
