But since it’s Marvel of course it went south and became a living organism that must feed just like Tom Hardy Venom. Point is that Venom never referred to himself as We, and a lot of things in this movie are inspired by the Ultimate comics.

This was always my fav version of Venom and my favorite movie of all time. The way that he's actually terrifying. It sounds like an animal, looks like an alien, and you know it has human intelligence. It's disturbing, and that's why Topher Grace will always be my favorite version of the character.
