Vlad is a classically trained pianist who taught himself to play drums. That being said, I am also a big jazz-fusion fan and Jinjer frequently has a lot of jazzy elements to their songs....they can swing. Vlad's choice of drum tuning and muffling (high pitched and dry) and his choice of Zildjian K cymbals (dark and dry) offers a different tonal palatte than is typical for the metal genre, which I enjoy.

I've already said that I've been involved with music for decades, both as a music lover and as a musician, and I've known this band for 8 years > jinjer has come to us from another musical planet...... thanx for your competent reaction to an extraordinary band from the universe... warm greetings from the german musician

I feel like Roman doesn't nearly get enough credit, because often people are so focused on Eugene and Vlad.. but Roman is an absolute master.

All of Roman's playthroughs should have much higher view counts. I respect his playing and writing more after each one I watch.

I enjoy when you isolate the instruments &/or vocals, it's a pretty unique flavor to your channel (pun intended). Eugene's bass always deserves some special attention! Check out Homeback by them if you haven't already, one of their best & a similar theme at play!

Jinjer always brings attention grabbing song structure. When you have four musicians of their quality, they can nearly make it sound like they just walked into a room separately and started jamming.

As far as i see you already heard some Jinjer hits from 2nd, 3rd and upcoming 5th album but not 4th one, Wallflowers. I suggest you to listen to Vortex. It has superb video but i highly recommend Audiotree live studio session version of it. You will enjoy more i believe. Also you will see the band at work in studio. Audiotree official channel released the video a few months ago. It includes short interviews with the band and 3 live songs from Wallflowers. Even if you haven't time to react to, definetely go and check out sometime. "Audiotree - Jinjer From Nothing"

Vladislav Ulasevish is an avid pianist and drummer. He taught himself how to play drums because some bands needed a drummer and it just so happened that Jinjer needed a drummer. Jinjer has to be my favorite female fronted band for years now (I'm sorry, I'm in Love with Tatiana) and have seen Jinjer in concert 3 times, twice Headlining. Going to Aftershock in a few weeks Jinjer will be there but not Headlining. Great reaction video from you guys. Check out older songs On The Top and Pit Of Consciousness Live at Kiev. Powerful songs. Stay safe and have fun.

Their drummer doesn't use any rack toms. The rack shell he uses is a piccolo snare. He runs dual floor toms (big ones)

Vlad isa classically trained musician and pianist who plays jazz drums in his favourite djenty progressive groove metal band
@MattsDrumCovers2 ай бұрын
I don’t think it’s a Piccolo. It’s a 10 or 12” Soprano snare, tuned nice and tight which is generally his secondary snare. His main one is a 13x5 also tuned hellishly tight 😊

Vlad does everything he can to keep his snare from hitting on 2 and 4💣💣💣🤟🤟🤟

Vlad always serves the song. Not showing off. All the members are like that, the song is key.
@coder4liberty2 ай бұрын
I would say that Vlad's playing is not complicated just to be complicated. If "minimal" means the whole song isn't a drum solo but just an integrated team member then his playing is definitely "minimal".

Hey guys! I just came over from your Ren reactions to recommend another artist called Diana Ankudinova. I wanted to ask if you could react to a particular song bc I'd love you to break down her vocals with your gadget wizzardry if possible. Diana has a very rare voice type...she is a dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones (or so I've heard from voval coach reactions) despite being very young. The song I'm recommending is her cover of Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis. Her performance is live at a judging show (like The Voice) where the judges themselves are fellow singers that, if Im not mistaken ,are also competing. You can hear the polyphony in a section towards the end but there's one towards the middle that might be part of the track and it's so difficult to tell, hence why i was wondering if maybe you guys could being sound engineers and all 😊 She's 20 I think in that performance btw. Thank you ❤❤❤
