@joost1120 Жыл бұрын
@@THESLlCK ??? It wasn't slow, nor was it really expensive for what it is. It isn't heavy either. It weighs 50kg more than the Ferrari 458 it competed against. The 458 does 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, the LFA in 3.6 seconds. The 458 does a lap of the Nurburgring in 7:33, the LFA in 7:38. Then Lexus came out with the Lexus LFA Nurburgring package, which smashed the 458 with a time of 7:14.64, making it the 7th fastest road-legal production car on that track at the time. But even the base LFA was a proper fast car. Loads of groups tested them on different tracks, and it performed great everywhere. It set the fastest wet lap at the Top Gear test track, the third fastest lap at the US Top Gear test track and the fastest lap time at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours despite freezing temperatures. Auto Zeitung tested it against the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG at Contidrom test track, which is also where Continental tests tire performance. They had a similar top speed, but the LFA had a shorter brake distance and smashed the Benz by 2 seconds with a 1:35.66 lap time. Auto Zeitung concluded "The LFA dominates the AMG Mercedes SLS in the manner of a precise formula racer". They praised the LFA's race car-like response and handling. Jay Leno reviewed the LFA and was very impressed with it, stating that it was one of the greatest supercars ever built. He said there might be other cars out there that could individually do things better than the LFA, but no other car does everything so extremely well. I really have no idea where you are getting your opinions from. By all accounts, reports, tests and experiences, the LFA was a very fast road-legal production car.

The secret of the Pagani isn't just in the V12 (although it always helps), it's the equal length headers, who ensure that all equally spaced pulses keep being equally pulsed when they exit out of the exhaust pipes. Which makes for an ever smooth note, and keeps the pitch very high up. Also helps with power! But props to the engineers, the Pagani geniuses being given one of the best canvas to work on (AMG is nearly systematically known for the amazing sound of their engines), and the result is definitely at the level of our expectations.

Yup it's all in the headers on the m120 V12 , stock headers are terrible, zonda used equal length 3-2-1 headers then merged the banks at the tips. I am using the mercedes m120 (OG zonda engine) for my V12 build 😎

That RS3 segment most certainly didnt have a 5 cylinder engine at the guessing stage. 5 pots have a very distinctive sound and that wasn't it. It might have been an exhaust note from a GTI or S3, but not RS3.
@MrFederacer Жыл бұрын
It's definitely the sound of a 5 cylinder ... but with stock exhaust, soft limiter to 3000rpm and other limitations ... a very bad sample video !
@x_sevenfourone_x7413 Жыл бұрын
The Audi RS3 soundtrack was not a RS3. It was definitely a 4 cylinder which means the sound was from a S3. 5 cylinders sound like mini V10's
@DerPilotMann Жыл бұрын
You can actually see around 10:35 that the flyby was definitely from an S3 The idle WAS an RS3, which is part of why the idle sounded good and deep while the flyby felt more tinny and lackluster.

The first sound they played was absolutely and without question a Honda 4-cyl engine. I guessed the B18C from the Integra type R, but thought it might also have been the F20C from the AP1 S2000. I knew the GT350 the moment it started. The sound is very identifiable, even though the driver wasn’t taking it up to 8200RPM. I would pause and write my guesses down as they went along, and was appalled that they tried to claim both clips came from the GT350. Somebody screwed up their game!!

I would definitely rank the 787B higher. And you don't give it enough credit as a race car. True, it did run at a lighter weight than the other cars in group C at LeMans that year, but it was also the most reliable car there that year, and the most fuel efficient. Two things that you wouldn't normally associate with a rotary, unless you truly know rotaries that is. I think if you heard these cars in person, you would find it much more dramatic than in the audio clips you provided.

the LFA and Zonda R really are some of the best sounding cars in the world. the zonda r sounds so good i thought it was an F1 car, and i know how beautiful the zonda r sounds. the LFA is just majestic, not a car sounds expert but just the sheer whine of that v10 is just so beautiful. it raced for first place in terms of sound and it is up there!
