As a Christian teen who struggles with both of these topics, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I have been searching for a Christian view on both of these things and I couldn’t find much information at all. If God did not save me, I would most likely be in those suicide rates.

Thank you for your message… a lot of churches shy away from addressing the topic of self injury. I think because it makes them so uncomfortable.. at least at my church it does apparently. I struggle with self injury. I have since I was 17… I am now 44. By Gods amazing Grace I have not cut since 2016. But I still constantly struggle with wanting to. Don’t get me wrong. My church is wonderful, and I’ve had chats with my pastor about it before; but now I often feel like I have to pretend to be this happy plastic person that has no problems because I cannot take what I feel is their judgmental attitudes towards it. So I constantly suffer in silence. It was so wonderful to stumble onto your video, and it helped. Thank you.

Thank you for this video I stumbled across this video well after searching for something similar.. umm but I have been struggling with self injury for about 15 years, I'm 23 now so you can probably tell how young I was when I was starting but even though I was like that I was a pastor's kid and had to suffer in silence because when I was growing up no one would even talk about mental health.. but when i am a little older I would like to share a testimony of how I found God as an adult and how amazing he is in my life but before that I need to get my life a bit more straightened out 😅 but thank you for giving me some inspiration to speak up about mental health in a better light.. ❤thank you❤
