Ich habe kürzlich Ihren A2 Kurs fertig gemacht und er hat mir sehr geholft meine Grammatikfähigkeiten zu verbessern. Es würde schön sein, ein bisschen tiefer über dieses Thema tauchen. Ich denke Filme sind besser, um dieses Thema zu üben. Halte den Film, wenn du eins dieser Wörter hörst und finde heraus, warum sie dieses Wort benutzt haben. Je mehr du diese Wörter hörst, desto besser du sie verstehen wirst.

Your breakdown of modal particles was insightful. How do you recommend practicing these in everyday conversations to really grasp their nuances?

I think listening to how native speakers use them in conversation is the best way to really grasp them. Watch movies and listen to podcasts with these words specifically in mind. Then pause whatever it is and figure out how the word was used when you catch it.

"Ya huh!" always how I translate 'Doch'... [American] English is so sophisticated

Actually that is an interjection. It is a kind of thing you say at the beginning of the sentence. Probably worth a future video to talk about these kinds of things, too.

Tone is everything. Most of the time "ja ja" is dismissive or sarcastic. This causes tension. I think he may have a point.
