Yes, it is. During the 80's when I was travelling on the railways of south west part of Red China , I head the songs of Sound of Music in Chinese version, too. This was the first time the Red China allowed a western opera to be broadcast in region.

My favourite musical of all time. I once told my late mmum, who took me to see the sound of music in 1965, one day, I want to go to see where the film was made. Sadly, I had not got the confidence to go on my own during her life, but am defintely going next year. Thank you for sharing this tour, as it has helped me decide to go.
