Makes absolutely no sense. I hate it when I see people do that. Then they complain about rats LOL that is literally why there are there. But I do blame some of this on the city. If you see abandoned houses everywhere (mostly owned by the city) wlith high ass grass and junkies living in them then being clean just isn't going to help. The f'd up part is that gentrified areas have no abandoned properties.

Naw. The weed is so bad, it's not worth getting from there anymore. It's either very weak or sprayed with something, but the dealers act like "it's that fire'. Trust me it's not. Stopped getting weed from there months ago. The only "fire" you're gonna get there when it comes to weed, is the fire from your lighter. Real.

Wow. There was a time I felt sympathy until I realized 90% was self inflicted. They find money to do what they want but complain about what they need. Their "hood" looks much different than say, Rwanda. Playstation 4's, big screen tvs, great iphones and expensive sneakers and cars round out the "struggle" Can't stump for this shit anymore. I suppose culture is culture even if it is destructive. There is a reason people want to segregate from this kind of so called culture. Can't fuck with this aggressive, angry unaccountable way of life. My peeps were poor but they learned to build with what they had. My mom swept a dirt floor, just so she would remember to have pride in whatever she did. We are in an era where even if you are poor, you can pull out your cell phone and learn anything ala Matrix style. I am at a loss for words...

Nice video and editing. I know they were highlighting the music and culture but I think people are missing the point. It's not a contest for which city is the worst or who has the toughest struggle. Every city has hoods and crime etc. It's bad for everybody. But nobody is asking what we can do about it. Instead it's glorified. And the music industry purposely promotes this. Of course there's an initiative the keep people thinking this way! We're pawns, test dummies and guinea pigs. I'm not going to go all Illumanati on you but we have been studied and experimented on daily for decades...I personally had a problem with an adult male sitting on his mother's lap, even if it's jokingly. It doesn't seem like something a "man" should do. But there's no father around to raise the young men unfortunately. I think that the absence of fathers and strong family unit is the major difference between African Americans and the majority of other races. That's my perspective. I grew up in a rural part of Maryland and I'm currently living in Baltimore City. Single parent households are just as common in the country as in the city. The cycle goes on and on. That's just my perspective. Bless you all.

Almost Serious that’s the problem, go actually see for yourself and stop being a sheep, Tate purposefully showed the absolute worst parts of the city (cuz that’s where in Baltimore he’s from) but it’s up to you to see Baltimore for what it really is and what it’s really like as a whole.

You talk about your struggle, yet your community seems to make little effort to improve their situation which is well within their control, garbage everywhere, rat infestations, neighborhoods that once stood tall and clean are littered with trash and despair...instead of making excuses, make a difference... start with one small street and show that you can combine your labor and skills to clean it up and the rest will follow suit. All that wasted time of hanging out on street corners doing nothing productive speaks volumes on your communities self inflicted woes. You have a talent for sure, your videos are very well produced, just sad to see these once vibrant neighborhoods slipping into the wasteland of third world nations. At least i'm fortunate that I don't have to live there. Instead of getting people to dance, get them to work, bring a sense of ownership to these places, open up corner stores, fix up those dilapidated buildings....sometimes you just gotta do it yourself.

Its the city officials fault the city is run down they pure all of the money in the white communities and downtown areas not the black communities our schools are under founded between 2015-2018 its been over 15 federal indictments on the BPD alone

Rickie Hawkes stop blaming city officials. Did the mayor force everyone to litter? Did the mayor sell the drugs? Did the mayor stop kids from going to school? I’ve lived in Baltimore all my life and it’s about not relying on the incompetence the government is. Clean yourself up and the government will follow.

Lakia Keely I’ve lived in Baltimore all my life. It has nothing to do with “government owners buildings”. It has to do with the culture of relying on the government to do the dirty work for you.

We are to be proud of our ciry called Baltimore. What concerns my heart is the negative that is always told about the city. Yes the city has drugs and young black men killing each other. Our young ladies are being abused physical and sexually. Trash all in the streets. Our youth not respecting themselves or other's. Baltimoe does have programs and people who care. There are programs for our youth and jobs program. It is not where you live that determine our future. Young men and young ladies have gotten full scholarships from the best colleges and they were living in the city. Baltimore have good and trouble people just like any other cities. There should be more postive told about Baltimore City then black on black killings, drugs, liquor stores on every corner, guys on the corners. And much more negative told. We al have to keep our neighborhood clean. We all have to be better role models for our young boys and girls in the city. Male mentors and females mentor are needed. And familes have to have the tools to parent our children to be leaders and not followers. There are intelligent and creative young black males and females in the city. I pray for Baltimore City beacuse mothers and fathers had to buried their children due to violence. I pray that God will heal the broken hearted and help those who need peace in their neighborhood and families. I pray that God will heal Baltimore City and change the hatred in the hearts of people. Baltimore City have praying people and people who wants to see the positive come forth. Our young black youths have purpose and Baltimore City has purpose. May God strengthen our beautiful city in His Grace and Mercy.

Holy shit!!!! Tim mothafuckin Trees!!! I remember listening to him on repeat and hearing him at EVERY party when I was in high school!!! When I hear this now 👉🏻 “Wayne Jones get dome in the 500 Benz on chrome talking on the flip phone gettin my d*** blown....” 🤭👊🏻 it reminds of that meme that says “when you’re in the bathroom at the club and suddenly you hear ‘CASH MONEY RECORDS TAKIN OVER FOR THE 9-9 and 2000!’” And then everyone in the bathroom looks at each other and screams and then everyone hauls ass outta the bathroom! (I know that was an EXTREMELY long winded comment, but hearing Tim Trees just now took me WAY back to some amazing memories 🤓) Oh yeah and... “I wanna dance my pain away, I got problems....” 💃🏻

not being racist but clean that mess up. If they would just come together and pick up their neighborhood and keep peace they would eventually get nice things. I know blacks were treated like shit back in the day but playing a victim nowadays, they should be empowering their community like MLK or Malcolm X or Marcus garvey.
