Most masajed add ridiculous amounts of echo/reverb to their system. Perhaps add a little on the adhan & salah but never on the khutbah!

Masha Allah, but the guy that does the Takbeer behind the Imam is unnecessary and annoying to be honest. He confuses everyone because everybody can hear the imam very well, I believe he is no longer needed.

In my opinion, _at-tabligh khalfal imam_ (the person conveying after the leader) was and still is a backup in case the voice of the leader can't be heard. In case all microphones or all connections to the leader are lost, God forbid, there is still another input from the _muballigh_ as a backup. EDIT: At 11:16, the video describes the same thing.

If you have prayed at the haram from the farther streets especially in Madinah, sometime you do not hear the takbeerat of the Imam properly
