Would be cool if some company came out with an ebow device that had new sounds / fx built in for new sound options.

That would be awesome!

This isn't quite an ebow type thing, but it is a similar sustainer with powerful capabilities: vo-96 acoustic synthesizer. Unfortunately not obtainable but the creator has other projects.

I didn't wanna be a buzzkill when I saw you first post about it. But yeah. Sound Stone fuckin sucks. I had one, and I hated it.

You just don't know how to use it correctly.

Is the ebow better in a handheld sustained then the sound stone? In your opinion? And why? I usually just use my pedals and pickups. What are your thoughts?
@JohnBomboy Жыл бұрын
@@jdpaulbeck4069 I got rid of my sound stone pretty quickly after buying it. But if I can recall, for me it really boiled down to the "tracks" on the bottom and comfort in hand. Ebows are set up in a way that you can just naturally feel the height they need to be at above the strings/pickup to maintain sustain, without the hard buzz of the strings vibrating against it. I found that very difficult to get good solid sustain with the awkward shape of it. Maybe the magnets weaker also? Which might be why you have to get sound stone so much closer in order to activate the sustain? On top of that, sound stone has a longer base. Makes playing/manipulating sound in conjunction with the pickups really difficult as well.

Video about people who grow their hands out of their ass. Change the battery for five minutes and pretend it's hard. In fact, everything is much simpler.

3 minutes, first time putting it in, shot before the playing. It’s a terrible design in comparison. But thanks for your feedback.

@@barefootbeardedwizardry It's a common design bro. All the remotes have battery cases like that. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it's weird it was so hard for you :)

@@sashabagdasarow497 it is really small and suuuper tight…. Over time it did loosen up, but it was crazy tight at first

I gotta disagree about hands out of asses and all. I just received mine yesterday and closing up the unit with the battery was a bitch, super tight fit. Also sound like an easier initial attack with the e bow. That said, for my first device like this, the $30+ cost was a great way to play around with and get started.
