Not too many speakers beat yorkville quality.. unless you go rcf TT series but they are more expensive also.

Change those speakers in that Ls801P to Faital Pro 18XL1600 then you will hear 👂 real deep bass in those bins. I have an ES18P it sound like two bass playing.

Sounds like the poster think a sound system with powered speakers aren't supposed to be powerful. I think it's because they aren't typical in Jamaica but if you think about sound systems that play in arenas, a lot of times they have about 150 powered speakers that hoisted way in the ceilings. One of the popular bands that's know for having a really powerful sound system at it's concerts is Metallica. Here's a video of one of their engineer talking about different sound systems they've used. At about 22:11 mins is where he start talking about benefits of one over the other: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZapi6ufapiEbNU But one of the benefits of the powered speaker though is that it helps with blowing speakers less because their clipping is set individually by the system in the box.

Powered speakers offers good sound quality but not suited to this type of set up. They need to be raised and out of the way.. can you imagine in a dance and idiots messing with the controls..

Question if I may ask ? I’m connecting 4 Qsc kw 181 subs an 2 Qsc kw 153 three way , so I’m connecting them to the drive rack I know when I’m connecting my two way top end I connect them to high output an the subs to low output. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to connect to the Qsc 153 three way similar to your EV s three way to the same high output r the mid output.
