I got the $15 coupon for $1 when it was available and ordered the speaker once it hit the market. It sounds superb on my bike, I have used the Bose Soundlink Flex that it is often compared to. I think this speaker is of about the same quality, perhaps better since it is stereo and far less expensive. I wonder what the larger Soundcore Motion 600 is like. It would probably be too large to be bungee strapped to a bike but would probably sound great indoors, giving even some Sonos devices or large JBL's a run for the performance. The Soundcore Motion X600 is somewhat expensive retail at $199.95 .

MSRP of $80 seems excessive. You could get the Boom or the plus for $80 or less. I guess those might be too big for some people though.

$80 isn't too bad. If you consider the Skullcandy Terrain XL is also $80, this Motion 300 is far better. I think the biggest factor might be.the Motion +, which may be an older speaker, but it's often in that $80-$90 range. I will probably have to do a Motion + vs Motion 300....both hand-held style speakers.

I had the boom then the boom plus , the 600 and now the 300. Soundcore and Tribit are my fav underdog companies giving JBL a run for its high prices.

@@charlesrobillard190 yes, the Soundcore app allows for custom EQ settings to your personal preference. A lot of speakers have apps with this ability now days. Even if they don't, 3rd party EQ options are out there. 😉

I have this speaker now that it is out and it sounds better than both the JBL flip 6 and certainly better than a Jbl go 2 . If you need the compactness of the Go 2 or Clip 3/4 I think the new neck clipable DeWalt Jobsite Pro Wearable Bluetooth Speaker is one of the best tiny speakers if you prefer that feature to bass and sound quality. However this Soundcore Motion X300 is probably the best sounding device of its size I have heard and it is convenient. Its only downside for some would be that it is pretty heavy.

Hi Jay, I have a question: What exactly is Spatial Audio? Can you describe exactly what that sounds like? And do you know any speakers that sound better than the Onyx 7 (with big low-end bass)?

When it is priced at $100 the Onyx Studio 7 is tough to beat. It just doesn't have the best battery life. The Onyx Studio 4 may have even fuller bass, however. As for spatial sound, that is supposed to create a more enveloping sound, like the sound is coming at you from not just where the speakers are. Like a 3-D sound effect. I find the Soundcore X600, which has spatial sound option, sounds better places lower and below ear level than at or above ear level.
