I just did a one on one comparison since I have both in ears here. I own a recording studio with plenty of gear to compare and listen to..also needed some loud fun headphones when doing sports since my ears have been tortured by years of long and loud listening sessions. The P40i's are much (and I mean MUCH) louder and also have more bass to begin with (with exact same soundcore EQ settings, same song, same music player on a Samsung 24 Ultra). Since I don't care about the ANC, I have not compared it. (when I go running I have the music cranked, so I don't hear any outside noise anyway.) What I think is better about the 4NC's: The case is higher quality plastic, looks fancier and also lights up inside when the in ears are being put into the case, which looks very cool. For me though the P40i's are a keeper, just for being much louder. The sound quality regarding soundstage width, crispness etc. is the same to me as the Liberty 4NC'S. Just my honest personal opinion but as always a matter of taste.

Must have had a bad set of p40i. For me the sound of the NC 4 felt sooo much better, more detailed, nuanced and bass wise.

Thanks so much for reviewing these! As you say, Soundcore drops stuff under the radar and then hyper promotes other items! Was interested in hearing about these and you fulfilled that interest! Much appreciated. With the 40 in the title, they are probably meant to be a stem style option in the Space 40 realm. I've reconnected with my Life A2 Nc's lately. They were my first Soundcore earbuds and still hold up really well when connected to my ipad mini🙂

I purchased the P40i yesterday and can tell straight away this is for the BASSHEADS! :D I had previously purchase a DOA pair of P3i's and also tried the soundPEATS Air4 Lite's which were lacking the bass I was looking for. I think the P40i's are the sweet spot - I was also considering the soundPEATS Air4 Pro's.

Hi I' bought my first ever pair of wireless earbuds the Soundcore A40i to see if I liked them thanks to your review and am thoroughly enjoying them. I was wondering if you know of any other Soundcore earbuds that allow for multiple controls on 1 earbud. As a mom to 2 young children I love the idea of being able to wear only 1 earbud at a time so I can still listen to the baby monitor for example. The only thing with the A40I is it only has single tap, double tap and long tap but more controls (play/pause, volume + and -, previous and next). I read online that the P40I has an extra triple tap option giving one more control but is that the only other earbuds that do this? The user manuals online don't seem to specify. Thanks!

I just bought the P40i before you started this stream and I hope it was a good decision. My previous earbuds were the P3i and they are the best earbuds I've had, having extremely crisp bass and clear sound. I recently ordered a backup P3i (my current ones are dying of battery life) only to find out that the quality had diminished by a lot, being muddy and washed, which led me to just buying the P40i. I want to believe that my second P3i was a fluke, because I would buy the P3i over and over again if the quality stayed the same. Have you ever bought a second pair of earbuds and saw that the quality diminished, is that just something that happens to products after a few years of manufacturing? Would you say that for a person who likes the P3i, that these P40i are similar or even better than it?

I always use the electronics EQ setting and there was no sign of muddy audio, especially since that was emphasizes the bass. other EQ settings sounds great as well, jazz comes second best. having the p3i first, I had high expectations for the p40i, and I was not disappointed

I saw this in the mall and the price was just right for me. The specs are all good has ANC, pass trough, IPX5, multiple connection, big 11mm drivers, 6 mics, 12 hours playing time and another 60 hours with case, has wireless charging and is from a reputable brand. When I first saw it I was surprised it priced the same with the Soundcore Space A40 which I was really the one I intend to buy or order but they don't have any in stock. I browsed the internet for specs and then had to have an opinion from a reviewer and first on youtube result that was reputable reviewer was you so i watched it while I was in the store I saw that you where happy and specs are are true like what the soundcore website so I bought immediately. The P40is almost the same with the A40 but the playtime is way longer plus the case also provides many more recharge , the IPX rating one higher, has wireless charging and has bigger drivers. I'm at home now playing with it right now while watching your vid for the second time. The P40i is even way better than Galaxy Buds FE I got for free with my Galaxy A55. The P40i is cheaper and offers more almost the level of the Buds 2 Pro, I hope this P40i is of good quality.

Actually a valid question! Your settings get saved to the earbuds. So if you switch devices, your settings stay until you change them.

Hola El Jefe. Quiero unos Earbuds Soundcore. Mi Enfoque es una excelente calidad de Llamada (micrófono), Cancelacion de Ruido y Viento y sobre todo:que me queden bien en el oido. Tengo un oido pequeño y la mayoria de los Earbuds de Patita (me lastiman). Obviamente se que para eso existen los Eartips (y siempre uso los pequeños). Los Earbuds tienen básicamente 3 partes: los Eartips, el cuerpo o cabeza (que es precisamente el que me lastima cuando es muy grande o grueso) y la Patita. Quiero un Earbud de Patita (ya que el micrófono funciona mejor que los que no son asi). Considerando todo lo anterior, ¿Me recomiendas estos P40i u otro modelo de Soundcore?

@@ELJefeReviews Thank you! I just bought the P40i last night and they just arrived this morning. I can confirm that the P30i there is a connection issue. It takes up to 10 seconds to connect to my iPhone 15 Pro every time. Those will be returned however I loved the way they fit. They fit better than the 40i. in your video it says you use spin fit ear tips. I have used those before with other Ear buds.Can you provide a link or model number? These have an interesting design they’re not circle. They’re like a squarish oval. Thanks in advance.

They don't hurt my ears but I have big ears. If these are causing you pain, you should definitely send them back. Soundcore has a smaller option called the A40 that has a similar feature set in a smaller size earbud.

Thank you. I really hate to return them because they sound sooo good and I already tweaked the sounds to my liking. I have 3 modes to switch between depending on my genre. I have the hearing test with Piano I have the pre-installed Acoustic option for tracks by Artists like Nickelback and my very own personalized EQ that I named Bass Clarity for Hip Hop and music by artists like Rihanna or any songs that emphasize a lot of bass. I have only had these earbuds for 2 days but my ears 👂 hurt so bad it is sore as if I had an ear infection. I normally can’t wear any kind of buds which is why I returned the Pro 2’s last year and bought the AirPods 3 instead. Those don’t hurt my ears at all but the sound is whack. The AirPods 4 ANC that was just released sound fantastic and are even more comfortable than my 3’s but for $195 (I’m including the tax) I don’t like the limited 4 hour battery life with 20 in the case total and poor call quality. Do you think the pain will go away and I just need to break them in. I’m already using the small size bud tips?

Upfront: I love electronic music and bass. I´ve just tested both p40i & NC 4 and for me there is a big difference sound wise. The sound of the NC 4 feels much richer, more nuanced and definitely also more bass. The P40i went back, as I felt they had no bass. EarFun Air Pro 3 also went back as the sound was just not as good as the NC 4. My test songs: Fred Again - leavemealone Brennan Heart - Imaginary

Got these in hopes that the mic quality would be an improvement over AirPod Pros Gen 1 but no luck. The mics picked up my voice well as far as sound quality goes but they would cut in and out or oscillate the volume of my voice to the caller on the other end of the line, even just in a quiet office

The Airpods Pro 1/2 are good at phone calls in quiet environments, but in noisy environments they are more than average, you want earbuds for calls in all environments, Huawei Freebuds Pro 1/2/3, Qcy Ht05 and Ht08 Melobuds Pro, Earfun Air Pro 1 and S, Realme Buds Air 5 Pro

My original Jabra 75t's have a left-to-right slider for ANC in the app that allows you to customize how strong the ANC is for each ear which works FANTASTIC for people like me who have a difference of hearing capabilities. From what I'm understanding these have that same type of slider? This is actually a big deal for me and will decide if I'm going to buy them or not. If anyone could verify this for me, that would be great, and I'd appreciate anyone's input on this. Thank you!

my airpods 4 (no NC ver.) just came in, i have the p40i in one ear and the airpod in the other and i'm actually considering returning the airpods. they're my first airpods, so i don't know what i was expecting, but the audio is so quiet and muffled

Stuck between these and the soundpeats capsule 3pro here in the UK. The mics is what's important to me traveling to Ghana and it's noisy want something to cancel noise while I'm talking.

I have the P40is for sometime now. The love it's sound signature and the ample customisation options you have, these buds respond well to EQing as I like boomy, full sound. But i found the ANC to be a bit of hit and miss sometimes. Do you reckon the liberty 4 NCs have better ANC performance than the P40is? If so, how much better? Here in the UK the P40is launched at £42 and the liberty 4 NCs sometimes a slashed down to £55 which makes them comparable in terms of price to me, so, if the ANC on the latter is significantly better, I will switch to the NCs.

ANC performance is very similar. Not worth buying the L4NC only for that. If you really want a noticeable increase in ANC strength, you will need to get with Sony, Bose, or Technics at a much higher price point.

Thanks for the reply man! I guess I will just have to crank up the volume on these whenever I am in a noisy environment, which isn't a problem as these do get very loud for me (I usually am at 30-40% on volume on these even on the noisy London Underground trains). Also, just to give you some context, I used to have the P3is and while their sound signature was more muddy than the P40is, I think the ANC was a bit better on the P3is in drowning out people talking around me than the P40is and I have noticed an audible hiss on max ANC with ear canal customisation turned on in noisy environments, which wasn't the case with my old P3is. Anyways, out of curiosity, which pair of buds do you reckon will have better ANC and comparable sound quality than these on the next rung of the pricing ladder? I know prices vary across platforms and across the pond but any general indication would be very helpful. 🙂
