The noise is terrible so year you had the gain control set too high and probably had the faders at way below unity I should think.

The same rotary knob used to change the effect type is the one you must push down to confirm the effect choice

So... I have the MTK12, and i bought it for two uses, to connect all my outboard gear into my A.Interface and also to use the mixer to sum. Since i use it to add more synths i dont use the mixer via USB, i am using the group channels to run the synths into my DAW since the master channels output audio via USB. How do i use the FX on just the group channels? I see you aren't using the USB feature either, I'm not sure if you don't need to because it's not an MTK or you've configured it in another way.

Since the effects are post fade ( meaning whatever you do on the faders will also affect the lexicon unit) you should be able to press the group 1-2 or 3-4 buttons located on each channel to send the effects to the groups as well. Hope that helps, if not, you probably have to add effects on your DAW.

Just got mine and the channel faders don't control volume at all. How do I turn off the FX?? I feel like because I can't figure out how to turn off the FX, i think it's causing a bypass on the channel faders maybe??

why does the effects revert to the Room setting every time you restart the mixer? How do I keep the effect on one style whenever I restart it?

Sadly the console doesn't save any effect settings. There is no internal memory that saves the data like a digital console would. So that's why your chosen effect must be dialed in again when you turn on the unit.

Hi, There are no overdrive effects on the console, just general reverb, delay, and modulation effects like tremolo,, flanger, and chorus. As far as putting different effects on different channels, this console has one effects engine, so it allows just one effect on a given channel or group of channels. However, the Signature 22 has two effects engines, allowing you to put 1 effect on a channel and a different one on another.

Hi. Over driving the preamps will give you a nice, sweet and musical warmth that these British consoles are known for. However, if you cook them too much, the signal will start to become distorted. Not as bad as digital distortion though. Be mindful of the volume of your source before you raise the gain on the console.

Brysonbookertelevion just wondering, by overdriving them do you mean distorting the signals with too much gain, or is there a lexicon effect of overdrive that I just haven’t found. Or are you running, let’s say, a guitar amp with an overdrive effect in it into the Hi-v imports? Thanks!

Some individuals like to literally drive the preamps into distortion as a vocal effect or to get more warmth from the pres. To have an authentic overdrive effect you must run either a pedal board or guitar amp into the console.
