Soundcraft Signature Series Mixers: FX Demo

A demo of the on board FX on the Soundcraft Signature 22MTK. THe Soundcraft Signature series of mixers features on board Lexicon FX. I go through all of them one by one and give a brief example of how they sound. In this demo I am using the Signature 22 MTK.

Great demo, if you can demo it using a microphone it will be helpful. It's difficult to tell holding a note on a synth how the processor would react to vocals. Most of these mixers will be sold to those who are solo's, duo's and bands who don't want to carry around an effects processor.

If you are using an external effect via an aux send will that come through to the USB recording or do I need to send the raw signal back to the mixer?

when u said u cant send usb eq . i believe u need to route your channels and use the aux cable to another channel to route the eq to usb ?! thank u for the demo

Want to use this for PA live gigs, I know it has Left and Right Masters out to Speakers, But I also have 2 Subwoofer. How would I connect those?? and how about monitors speakers??

Active or passive subwoofer?? For Active subwoofers use link out from speaker to sub and use band pass filter in sub. If it's passive then you Check amp or maybe speaker signal processor needed to work it out

So you spend hours finding the right EQ for your instrument and that is not going to be recorded via the USB to the DAW?

It will but you have to send back signal from PC to mixer.

u can work around this by routing the channel to the aux and then eqing that channel to the master

Cygnus Orb ohhh.... Do you know for any other mixer with usb, "mapeable faders",and maybe a on board filter??..... i wanted one 12 MTK to use for djing and producing as main board in all scenarios

the whole idea of using this is to send the signal to the daw, then send it back to the 22mtk for final mixing into a two track stereo mix. i would rather track with this then a daw.

I don't think it's the effects that causing the metallic sound. The synth sounder using is not the best for demoing the the effects

@@CygnusOrb sir I am using Soundcraft for singer and chorus and for instrumental purpose I use anthor mixer so if take instrumental input mixer to soundcraft channel so what will be the Setting of sapphire equiliser for paino and drums etc.

I had no idea that the EQ doesn’t get sent via USB...that sucks. Is it the same for panning? Cause I’m having a lot of issues with the panning of Instruments as well.

so if you want to record into a computer with the EQ you need a mixer (interface) for the mixer? why would they do that

You can. Just not with separate channels. Or you have to output a post effects track through auxilaries/grps into another input and out to usb again.

Since this mixer is 22 in 20 out via USB, the genius idea behind the design is that one should first record clean signal with no EQ then send each signal back to its own channel for EQ and summing up via main output, or printing the signals with EQ via group and auxiliaries. I am definitely going to buy this mixer very soon. It’s just an amazing tool!!!

The delays offered in the effects-are total garbage. Cheap, repeating karoake delays. Horrible. My only gripe with the board.
