What exactly is latency compensation, and how do we decide what number to input ? A rhythm can be out of pace, in relation to what ? To another track ?

If you have cracking noises or the app respond lately adjust latency and buffer options…

hi, add a new instrument track, select ZC1, click where it says default on top left, click on the right hand side where it says All for the categories, select Synth Classic Juno. At this point you should see the presets?

There is no Sync section under the BPM and Time signature anymore, with Ableton link and Latency compensation. Did they put those elsewhere ?

What’s the best way to edit a sample in Zenbeats? I’d like to import drum loops but I’ll need to edit the sample to match the BPM and I’ll need to accurately trim the start and end. I’ve tried to import a loop into a drum instrument and all you get is a tiny waveform to play with and it’s not very accurate if you try and edit it.

Hi, I've just downloaded Zenbeats and I've only got Lessons 1-5, do you know where I can see the later lessons?

The iOS version comes with 11 lessons. From the initial screen when you click on lessons on the bottom right do you only see 5 lessons? If so what is the latest lesson?

I am only seeing 5 lessons in mine also. Ok, now I see that you need to go into unlocks and open the upgraded version, download it, and then all 11 lessons show up

They are like scenes or section selectors, it is explained as you move on to other videos in the playlist…

Thank you for your help; I have another question.. Is it possible to import outside audio thru an audio interface onto tracks with this software? ie; a mic, vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar , etc , can these kinds of instruments be added to tracks with Roland zenbeats?

Another problem. In the laptop I tried to record a guitar pattern on an instrument track, established the 4 bars Pattern Size, Saved it As ( Gave it a name ) ... then started recording. Surprise : It jumps to 5 bars ( and 5 bars isn't even in the list ), then at next attempt it jumps at 12 bars, then another time at 24 bars. I'll check if it behaves the same on my phone.

@@soundformore You're right, I didn't take into account the Loop Builder. I started it either in ZR1, or in Timeline Song. The display doesn't specify, or I didn't learn enough on the general functionality. It doesn't bother me, I can adjust the bars afterwards.

Bugged so bad. Can not even log into the app but i can login to the website. No zenbeats folder exists on my device. I had to uninstall and reinstall. Still unable to find my exported waves.

@soundformore It's Android. Latest version on Samsung. I lost every project because they do not use external folders outside of the App itself. I saved waves but they are all gone, even though i clicked to add to drive.

I don't understand what's happening : in the present version ( March 2023 ) I have the Pro subscription and all the Unlocks ( Including Ultimate for one month I think ). BUT : My buffer is limited at the ONLY option of 446. Sometimes it distorts. AND : There is no "IOS Unlock" on my page ( mixing limitations - specification )

@@soundformore Thank you for your answer. 2 news lines : - Yes, the hardware is the culprit. I have a 7 years old laptop with AMD A6. ( upgraded 2 years ago to 8GB Ram and SSD ) - It is all fine on my Android. Buffer up to 1920. Under the selection window it shows a recording latency of 3840 !

I think the CPU there might be the issue with buffer… the Android is more recent?

Yes, the Android is a last year new model. But I had yet another problem that I solved. - Save Song, Transfer or Export - these choices do not offer the .wav generating. - The Zenbeats 2.1 Start Guide manual ( no manual for 3.0 yet ) says the Export gets the .wav, but this is no longer available now. - It took me some hours of stress over days, until I discovered that the Render Song is solving the problem. - But it also puts a duplicate wave file inside the song I started from, so I have to remember to delete it, because it distorts the whole song. ( the first file was exported to a device folder, and I found it there )

The guide is not great, that is why I started the tutorials and the file system UI still needs lots of improvements … I think the desktop version is better than the iOS version…

What are the grid settings? Did you change the time signature before or after you created a track? Drum track? Instrument track?

@@soundformoreI changed the time signature to 6/8 but the boxes doesn't align correctly. It has eight square in one beat.
