It's a crippled walk simulation from an acid trip. Back in early '90s there were powerful acid blotters that gave that kind of physical hallucination of feeling tall like a mountain or deformed or crippled or with enormously long arms and legs. Probably Ben had a bad trip with one of those LSD blotters and then kept in mind that hallucination that he adopted as his stage behavior.
