You are in for at treat then. Unfortunately, the lead singer Chris Cornell died (R.I.P.), so we won't get any new material, but the band left this wonderful back catalogue of pure rock masterclass, be sure to listen to Badmotorfinger, Superunknown and Down On The Upside - some of the best albums to come out of the 90's imho. King Animal ain't bad either, but shows that C.C. was generally better, when working together with other great musicians, as his "solo songs" like eg. "Halfway There" stand out as the album's weakest links. Again, imho.

Growing up as a gamer and being told I have an "ear to hear" for music. One of my most favoritest games of all time, Snes Secret of Mana, this song was used in one of the village music. I don't remember which town village it was but I swear I hear it everytime I listen to this. The part you hear is at 2:34 I KNOW I hear it and it's freaking amazing I love it! The memories of such great content and being given the opportunity to grow up with it is truly a blessing! Thank you Chris Cornell for your wonderful musical influence! Derek Stein I think Pink Floyd would like a word with you (Money... rock band... about as big a smash as is conceivable with a baseline in 7 beats that’s been sampled for even more “commercial” tracks). Radiohead would like a word with you for Paranoid Android (and others) which has sections in 7 beat signatures. There’s loads of examples of strange time signatures in popular hit songs in pop and rock. The truth is some you don’t even notice because they feel so natural and were done not to stand out, whereas others are done purposely to be noticed, to stand out and to add to the feel and tension in a track. Regardless, there are quite a lot of them. I agree that Spoonman is a great example of an interesting time signature resulting in a commercially successful song but to exaggerate it as such a rarity doesn’t actually enhance its reputation and does down music in general. Edit: sorry to do an edit but I couldn’t not when I realised some of the examples of songs in 7 beat time signatures that I’d missed out... especially the first one in the list below!! The Beatles - All You Need is Love Blondie - Heart of Glass Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill Led Zeppelin - The Ocean Rush - Tom Sawyer
