I think the sound quality of your own design PCB of 5200 & 1943 and one year's previous TDA 7294 is more than awesome then this amplifier. Kindly check it out honestly. SMD components are good but during the time of repair, it will very difficult to arrange same components in our country.

Sir I am not challenging your knowledge but its my practical experience that 20-0-20 can not be measured as 40v because in double rail supply amplifier needs power in both rail . because sound is just like ac current and hence it needs power in both side . impulse current is entirely different matter you can not treat it for power calculation. Power jis formule se nikala wo galat hai. Apne load se power nikala. But tf actually kitna supply kar rha hai wo vi cos phi se niklega. Aamtaur pe tf ki power load se 25% jyada honi chahiye. Tf ko hamesha full load pe drive nahi kiya jata. Isme tf ki power iske copper gauge se pata chalega. Jo apne nahi bataya. Halaki jaisa specification hai us hisab se tf ki size sahi di hui hai. Par sk 25000 me galat di hui hai.

1. Active sub woofer has built in Amp, not always but most of the time has frequency controls and volume. These are used in Home theatre equipment and sometimes ppl use these also for audio listening but it is not recommended to use sub woofer for normal music. 2. Mono amplifiers (ex: Ahuja ) use in public broadcast. Mono amps are also used in Hi end audio when Bi-amping is done. Two separate amps for two separate speakers, 2 channel audio. Some ppl also use this combination for the front 2 channel of home theatre. 3. AV receivers are essentially home theatre processors having tuner, processor (2.1 or 5.1 or 7.1) and amplifiers for all channels all built into one box. There is lot of variety going from the common ones available by philips/other electronic consumer brands to high end common ones in India like onkyo, yamaha, denon, marantz etc. Usually the entry level processors also have built in subwoofer amps. Hope this will give you clear idea, rest u can search on internet. Essentially home theatre entry level systems that are used by majority for music is the most common preferred choice because of cost effectiveness.

@@rahulkulkarni5307 do not complicate comnections. Many combinations are possible. I am not sure abt the kind of connection u inquired. Just use the preout from ur amp to active subwoofer, subwoofer as such have mono amp. I am not a user of av receiver so cannot comment much on that part. Buy a good brand active subwoofer to have a better experience. It is said Rome was not build in a day, go step by step, good audio set up takes years to build, it is not necessary to spend on unnecessary equipments if not required, rather spend on good audio and speaker cables, sound isolation etc.

Invest in home theatre type of set up if u are 80 percent of time using for movies etc. But if you are more into music even to the extent of 60 percent then invest in dedicated two channel stereo amp set up and best/high quality front bookshelf/tower speakers. I think no one will answer this query but if you are using denon/marantz or similar amp and paired it right with decent mid/high end speakers there is tonal perfection and clear balance of all sound frequencies. You will not derive similar satisfaction from soundking or similar low price products where the main emphasis is on high bass and high treble. The key point of satisfaction from any amplifier is to match it with right speakers plus the quality of speaker cables and other interconnects. The input from any digital source(mobile/pc/bluetooth/pendrive) has to be converted to analog with the help of DAC (digital to analog convertor) before amplification. Many modern amps has built in DAC. Price is not always the criteria, it is right matching and proper use of equipment. Denon and other similar amps are very high in components quality and if used decently lasts a lifetime and even passed on to next generation.
