to be loud @DOUG the sealed part is the 1 of the ratio and the ported section is the x 2 dude. Put the magnets in the ported section (inverted in the sealed part) so they can cool better and you can smell any issues off rip. . and depth on the sealed chamber is not such an issue. Long story short to keep it simple the sealed part should be 1/3 of the available space and the ported part 2/3

Ratios don’t matter if he’s going for daily demo build, there is no magic ratio. I’ve seen 1:1’s play louder than 4:1’s, depth of chamber matters a lot too because it starts acting like a big long port and lowers resonance, there’s lots of factors that go into this

You should have used your fancy iPhone to 3D scan the inside of the base fan and then imported it into some 3D software figured out all the boards in the 3D software export and CNC them all there's a plan

Doug, are you seriously only doing .75” acrylic?! Talk about “absorbing decibels”! You originally talked about 1” and I already thought that was gonna flex too much, now you’re going thinner? Big mistake. Think, you’ve got 2.25” of birch, and acrylic flexes more than plywood. Test it yourself. Place weight on long, unsupported pieces of ply and acrylic of equal size, see which deflects more.
