I have no faith because of events that happened three years ago. I really like this song. It's just one lyric that always bothers me. "Why you staring at the window when I'm the one with the pain." And before I say anything else. The way I found this song was when a "friend" sent me a link to it. Around three years ago, was when I met him and we became friends. We had a lot in common, but we would fight all the time. It got to a point where we were just completely toxic to each other. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore. I do care about him, but his problem is that he absolutely refuses to believe that anyone other than him has feelings. When I first said goodbye to him, I stated that I wanted to see him happy, but that couldn't happen if we stayed friends. I was changing and becoming a better person, meanwhile he simply refused to change for the better. A year later, I was in a really bad place, and I didn't have anyone to talk to about it. I thought, "hey, it's been awhile, maybe he's changed." So I texted him saying hi, and asking if I could call him. He let me, and as soon as he answered he started screaming at me, saying things like, "I can't believe you! You sit there and act as if your life is sooo terrible, meanwhile, you have no idea what I'm going through." And blah blah blah. He still completely couldn't understand the concept of the fact that he's not the only one with problems. Anyway, a few days later he texted me and said he was sorry. I could tell he didn't mean it, but I talked to him anyways. When we were friends neither of us were good at talking about our feelings so if we needed to get something off our chest, we'd send links to each other of songs that explained how we felt. So he did that, and first he sent me a link to "The bitch came back." By theory of a deadman, and ten million other songs about how I "abused" him. (Which is ridiculous if you know how our friendship was like.) Then he sent me this song. Of course. A classic song to try to make me pity him and give him attention. That's how it had always been. He always pulls some bullshit sob story for attention, and if you even dare try and tell him about things YOU'RE going through, he completely blows up and treats you as if you're feelings don't even matter. Anyway, I really do like this song. It's always just that one statement that reminds me how it felt, to care so much about someone, and always be there for them, just for them to disregard your feelings as if they don't matter. I tried to leave the relationship for both of our mental health. And yet, it doesn't matter, because he will never change. He very well CAN change, but he refuses to even make a point to better himself. It makes me sad to know this, because despite it all, I still care about him. And I want to see him happy. But unfortunately, the way his mindset is, he never will get to feel better if he doesn't make a point to be better. Anyway, sorry to bother you with this long ass comment. Just sometimes feels like the only people who will ever sit down to hear your story, are the ones who will never see your face.
