I bought Sol P based on your review ... and also because an opportunity popped up. I am ex Susvara, current TC, Utopia, Caldera and HEK Stealth owner running a 300B amp with TOTL tubes ... I didn't have high expectations, I just wanted to check Sol P for completess of my journey ... And holy s it completely blew me away with being amazingly refined, tonally accurate (cymbals !!!) but also FUN! FUN FUN FUN! I can play amazing jazz record admiring how natural, realistic and refined everything sounds one mintue, and blast EDM and metal the next head banging and enjoying slamming deep bass. I love this headphone ... there's no going back ...

@@krisrudecki9477 Hi Chris, I didn't want to hype these to cloud nine, BUT these are the best headphones I ever tried. Full stop. Nothing comes close, I could easily sell my entire headphone collection and live hapily with the Solitaire P. I'm a bit sad that these don't have a lot of recognition wolrdwide.

@@Soundnews funny you should say that because I'm just selling my collection leaving only Sol P and Stellia as a closed back dd alternative 🤫😅

@@Soundnews the biggest win is that apart from top tier technicalities Sol P is the best generalist. It plays literally everything well. Reminds me a lot of my Audio Note speaker system that also plays everything amazingly, from hard techno to smooth jazz and classical.

After giving these a thorough listen I can say YOU DESCRIBED PERFECTLY ALL THE QUALITIES & DEFECTS the Solitaire P is offering. Very detailed, fast, great resolution (although other than soundstage depth I didn't perceived many differences Vs Susvara), technical and punchy. In the end due to the analytical cold nature of the presentation and the lack of warmth and treble spikes...I prefer Susvara and I will take Elite with less resolution ANY DAY. These days I tend to prefer a headphone that allows me to appreciate all genre with a more musical and natural approach. But if you want THE MOST TECHNICAL HEADPHONES...THESE MIGHT BE IT!👍

Thanks for the summary. I'm waiting for the price of Susvara to drop below USD$3,000.

When I saw this review I was very curious. I managed to get a good price on a pair. When I bought these I owned Focal Utopia 2022, Hifiman HE1000SE, Meze Audio Elite and ZMF open Caldera. When I listened for the first time I was completely blown away by how good they really were. They had an open presentation that came extremely close to listening to speakers. I've never heard bass as defined as here with such pressure. The midrange is very natural and creates realistic voices that evoke emotion. In the upper register there are lots of details that help in making them so open. I listen to a great variety of music, vocal, pop, rock, orchestral, musical and soundtrack and all genres are presented wonderfully. These are headphones you have fun listening to, but they can also evoke emotions. My setup consists of Pre-/DAC Meridian 861V8 and headphone amplifier Riviera AIC-10 BAL. As I write this, all my other headphones are sold except the Focal Utopia 2022 which presents some orchestral and live music in a different way that I also appreciate. They will be a complement to my T+A Solitaire P which will be my main headphones. Highly recommended

A good song to compare bass to is Skrillex/Justin Bieber/Diplo, Where are U now. It has a bass that varies its bass that no previous headphone has been able to present as fully as my B&W 803D3 speakers. T+A Solitaire P succeeded. Another song that tests the speed of a headphone is Two steps from hell, flight of the silverbird. This song has many dynamic swings that many headphones have a hard time keeping up with. As a finish, I can recommend Benson Boone, forever and a day to test the soundstage and room feel.

Hi Brandon, thanks for the kind words. I'm still scratching my head as to why the head-fi community isn't reviewing/trying these out. The only explanation I have is that T+A isn't investing a lot in marketing, there aren't many reviews for these. I bought mine and decided to shoot a video and tell you how truly impressive these are on every level. After getting them, I slowly started selling some of my headphones, as after the Solitaire P, most of them sound broken, lacking so many things by comparison. In my humble opinion, nothing comes close to their performance, not even the Immanis that I tried on 3 different occasions. You took a leap of faith, but at the end of the day, it was all worth it 🙂

I had the chance to try the Solitaire P at a local Hifi Store and they hooked me instantly. The Bass was simply the best ive heard. Its the highest End headphone i heard. Unfortunatly its way out of my Budget, but they are simply amazing Headphones.

Seems we have a new king and bass monster 😮. I'm little jealous as i love bass hahaha . What do you think the best headphone for bass after this one? At any price? And what do think is the best under 3000-2000$?
@garymalone5474 ай бұрын
Yeah my headphone journey ended once I got a two channel rig. Nevertheless you need a decent room, which I will find, however in the meantime I'm reduced to a Node N130 and Sennheiser HD250BTs since the GF kicked me out lol.
