Well, when 50 years and 100M songs come out, you start to run out of options on making something "new". You should know that trends are a thing and that everyone is looking for the next new thing. Just because something is substantially different, doesn't mean that it isn't good. I'm in my mid 30s and love tons of "oldies" songs and I can also appreciate some new stuff as well. You have to expand your horizons. Rap is also explaining a lifestyle that i, and maybe yourself, haven't experienced...so it may not be right for you and that is obviously fine.
@avp07136 ай бұрын
As the music industry unfolds... it becomes more apparent that it is based on SALES... If an artist comes out today and tries to "make it" on these solid vocal torch songs and ballads, they can't because THE KIDS (the major buying audience) is not energized by this.. they are "energized" and "excited" by foul language and vocal passages that they hear on the streets. In the olden days a romantic lyric might be ".... my love, I'll take you out to a fine place, where you and I can speak face to face"... todays romantic lyric might say "Imma call you my bish and eat that booty like a dish". So yeah.. different societal morals calls for different lyrics.

Take me back to this music, and a time without cellphones, when you could take a break from everything by just leaving the house. You go to a park and just sit, go for a walk, or go to the corner store for some snacks, in peace. Clear your mind. Now, we got the phones strapped to our hips. Too little time to free up your mind.

dang. You think and talk .like me.you or form the 70s.all right. All you have.said. sounds so.beautful.the 70s was.smooth.and kool. The beautiful summer's.when school was out. And hanging out with your so call friends. Picking them over your family. Running with the wrong crowd. And living stupit. But there's was good times And clean fun.bike riding.flying kites.rollerskating .like said going too the park. A good baseball game. Going too the movie's. School dances. And after school program. Or a friendly game of.one on one basketball. Jumping rope with the girls.and back yard barbecues.

Teddy’s wonderful singing voice carried some serious weight of authority! Doesn’t matter what genre of music you swear allegiance to, whether Heavy Metal, Goth, Reggae/Dub, post-punk that God given heart wrenching soulful voice stops all of humanity in its tracks 🙏🏽

On top of that he was SO handsome too…
@Pulsonar Жыл бұрын
@@carolegriggs3107 He was a good looking man, flawless complexion, the heavenly smile combined with the beard. I don’t know it was his idea, but that was a master stroke of image projection. Few men carry that look so well, before it became fashionable to play geometry games with it like George Michael and the rest of the poseurs.

OMDDDD Clicked so fast!! They Sound great! This time period had the greatest music ever. I'm so grateful I was raised up on this music. During the time when you had to really know how to sing. Music that has stood the test of time and still is relevent today. The smooth background of Harold Melvin & the Blue notes with TeddyP's golden voice is just priceless. 👍

The 60s had a lot of greats with MOTOWN. Teddy was one of the BEST and so was Marvin Gaye. Grew up on this music in the 60s & 70s. Real SOUL music....not pop.
I'm a 71 yr old white guy that grew up in Detroit listening to this song. Down went the windows and I'd sing it out loud. This was part of the real class of Motown in those days. Thank God for groups like this. They've not been forgotten.
