Have you seen the one with using old towels? Seemed to be the best. You could buy a plastic shed, put it inside and really soundproof it cheaper......and have a shed in case you move.

Thanks Michael, I had no idea that this solution existed. I've used moving blankets, but these (with the grommets & dimensions!) seem like a great option for those of us who don't have a dedicated studio. Cheers!

Great tip Michael! They are now on my list. Quick question though: how do you deal with accessing the windows and door? Are you constantly climbing to 10 feet to unhook grommets temporarily?

one window is completely blocked off. The other one I have strategically placed the blankets so I can move them out of the way and have access to the window.

I Want these blankets for my drum room i'm lucky i have 3 concrete walls one Wood and 2 Windows on the concrete wall is it best to concentrate on the roof and Wood wall and Windows ? wil a duble layers reduce the escaping sound by 10DB or 50% sorrey for my bad inglish

Unfortunately no. They aren't dense enough. They'll stop the reflections in the room, but not the audio from escaping.
