This is incredible. I really like the idling up and down with other sounds (brakes) mixed in. I've always loved the sound of these locomotives and this makes the perfect white noise for work.

It does! I love the sound too. Helps me focus

Man, what a sound! The EMD SD70ACe is one of my favorite diesel-electric locomotives. With a great idle sound, throttle up sound and the sounds of the air compressor really makes a great therapist after a tough day at the office or sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. What the case is and if you are a die hard train lover and love EMD locomotives, than this is the perfect sound clip! I also like the sounds of the SD40-2s with NS and the R&N, and also I like the sounds of the SW8, MP15DC, and SW1500s with the R&N! There's also some other great EMD sounds out there too, but I do miss the sounds of the ex Conrail SD60 series and the 80MAC! Those were great locomotives. Hopefully you could do a sound clip of the SD80MAC or something because the 80MACs were brilliant locomotives and they will be missed and with that in mind, I won't mind a sound clip of the old Conrail SD80MAC. Idling with throttle up and air compressor sounds.

I wish I had audio of the SD80MAC for you, but unfortunately I never got to record one idling.
@ns4270railfan Жыл бұрын
@@IsaiahsTrains that's fine. I may of thought that you would, but it's ok. I really miss those big SD80MACs. I liked when most train lovers referred them as the Cadillacs of the rails.

23:05 It's kinda rare to hear an ACe throttle down to normal idle.
@AbelG87812 жыл бұрын
It skipped notch 1. Went from idle in N2 to low idle since it was in Neutral. If the reverser was in position then it would idle in notch 1 but in Neutral with brakes applied it goes straight to low idle

It's a transition between low & high idle to conserve fuel when idling for long periods of time that higher RPMs aren't needed
