What's up man. First things first is....I have had a mpc 1000 since 2008...and I have been TRYING to make beats on it ever since I got it. TRYING. It was one thing I could never figure out. That thing you did (probably a producers best kept secret on the mpc) was just what I was trying to figure out. THANKS for posting this video! I'm NOT gone say what it is but everyone who is serious about making beats on the mpc knows what I'm talking about. Good looking. R.I.P J Dilla

I like the vintage mode a lot. In the video I`m using the MPC60 mode. However to really hear the vintage mode in all its glory you have to listed from the MPC RENs outputs. The MPC REN has all the internal circuitry of the MPC3000

Great video. I have Maschine, and now just bought the Ren also. Love both, but the Ren is just more fun for me. I can knock out beats so much quicker on it for some strange reason. Plus the hardware is rock solid, it feels like a pro piece of hardware. The software even though at 1.3 and is much better, still needs a lot of improving and features added, before that is on par with Maschines. But Maschine has been out ages now and is on v1.8. Once the Ren gets to 1.8 it will be an even greater MPC
@iamDannyHoliday12 жыл бұрын
i love the maschine but also hate it for that exact same reason. i still bang out with it but i'm loving this mpc ren. think i might make the switch back to mpc.

Geat video my dude. I'm a Maschine user myself, but im also now learning how to DJ with the Traktor S2 so I should be able to use Maschine and my Traktor Processor together almost like the maschine is an F1. Ive seen DJ Craze do it on his videos, i just need to figure out how.

is there any tutorials where they teach step by step how to chop (acquiring the sample, showing how to chop it, and the different ways to so it) on the renaissance thinking of buying one just want to go into with some knowledge of its working

Depends on what kind of performance you want. Do want a stand alone unit that you have to dump or pass your data into your computer. Or do want a controller With the software already on your computer. (Both are great)

Hey Malcolm. I own a Maschine. I've never used an MPC before. Can you explain the major differences between these two? I love my Maschine but I don't like the sequencer in it. How is it handled in MPC Ren? How do you build up a song in it compared to Maschines GroupPattern/Scene thing?

i used to work with the mpc 1000 (jjos1 4.99) and now using mpc ren. with the 1000 i never chopped samples. i changed the start point of a sample playing with the q-link. going into slider, selecting note on and s.start. then i record the sample while changing the start point. i know i can change the start point in sample edit of the mpc ren, but when i record it and change the start point again it will only remember the last start point, not the first one. can i do this with the mpc ren, too?
