I met Iasos in 1980 at an outdoor concert he staged in Palo Alto, California and then met him at a well-known bookstore in Menlo Park that same year. I love his "Inter-Dimensional Music"! He is one of a dozen or so synth keyboard masters who have enriched my life - Vangelis, Kitaro, Ray Lynch, Jean-Michel Jarre, Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Michael Stearns, Constance Demby, Bernard Xolotl, and Jan Hammer, and there are others who are also great artists.

Probably because ~the first wave of new age music (before 1979) sounds more like modern ambient and drone, even dark ambient (or vice versa). As a dark ambient fan I'm not into new age too, but I like some of the earliest releases a lot; no contradiction IMO.

Some years back I saw Iasos do a presentation on his whole deal (the collaborator spirit that he channels, the effects of certain sounds he has built, etc), he’s a wild dude. Love his videos (especially the newer ones)
