Yo tengo unas Evo 4.4 y no deberian compararse con otra pareja que comparte los mismos parlantes de medios y agudos , las 4.3 estan diseñadas para espacios mas pequeños y amplificadores mas pequeños, las 4.4 necesitan almenos unos 5 metros en triangulo y un amplificador de 100w con el volumen a partir de 1/3 es cuando te puede dejar ojiplatico con sus grabes y la calidad de sus medios el tuiter empieza a presentarse como es a partir de el volumen indicado, si no tienes una sala generosa no le sacaras su excelente y apabullante riqueza dematices. Suena especialmente bien con voces de yaz e intrumentos clasicos como la guitarra, organo en vinilo y en digital todo lo moderno sin limites, puede llegar a gustarte el reguetón. I really appreciate this comparison video. Though I do hear a difference between the 4.3 and 4.4. The 4.4 are more forward sounding and the high end a little more pronounced. I read some listeners making reference to the microphone placement, nevertheless, I think the Evo 4.3 would work best in my space. It is simply more pleasing to my ears, clear, articulate and open. Thank you for this video and the musical selections were across the board.

Pues tengo los 4.3 y son espectaculares para su tamaño, suenan increibles. Al principio dudaba por su tamaño pero cuando habres las cajas y los sacas ya sabes que no te van a decepcionar. Lo que màs me a sorprendido a sido los graves que tienen😮.

I own a pair of 4.3's so I was curious to hear a comparison, but I'm afraid to say that this comparison is useless (no disrespect meant to the recorder). The placement of the speakers in terms of aligning their tweeters and mid-range domes in relation to the recording microphone(s) would be of utmost importance. Consequently the EVO 4.4's sound a lot more forward and the 4.3's less so as the microphone obviously pics up more of the mid-range dome on the 4.4 and seems better placed for the 4.3's - in the sweet spot. Looking at the cabinets overall I would guess that the 4.4's have a warmer sound in terms of timbre along with a more punchy mid-to-lower bass.

This video is living proof of how sensitive these Evos are when it comes to toe in and vertical height. A slight shift and there goes your treble.

Yeah, I hate to admit it because I LOVE the 4.4, but it's true that the treble has to be dead forward. Have you ever tried folding your ears forward while listening? It's amazing.

@@davib7534 the AMT is too directional and has very narrow direvtivity. At 6khz it starts beaming like crazy. Folding your ears directs sound into it, somewhat of a cupping effect.

4.3 more neutral, in some tracks boring, in some times more playing hours. But the mic height can affect the sound

The 4.4 play louder but to my ears, I preferred the 4.3. My eyes definitely preferred the 4.3. They are a more likely to get an ok from my wife. The 4.4 are just too big.

Mic height needs to be adjusted, look at the difference in height between the two AMT tweeters, that will effect the HF energy being picked up by the mic. 4.3's sound a bit more balanced but difficult to say really. 4.4's generally sound louder? Perhaps more efficient due to larger cabinets?

Speaker is designed with this tweeter hight. Therefore a mic at ear level would be normal assuming you are sitting in a sofa.

anyone listened to both? I wanted 4.2s but I don't want to buy stands, the 4.3 way smaller footprint than the 4.4, I'm just worried the smaller drivers make it worse than the 4.2. I could get the 4.4s but they're so big I may just get lintons at that point

In many ways I prefer the 4.3 over the 4.4. Not as in your face and more lively playing style. I definitely believe it is a better speaker than the EVO 4.2s if you got the space for it :)

The 4.4 is much more open, the mids are present, but I think it's a bit too forward. it lacks balance and I think that on long listening they can be tiring.

Can someone tell me how is the bass? I really love this speakers. But the bass I think that is not so deep as the Grunding 8500 mk II, that goes from 25 Hz to 20 000 Hz. And someone can recommend to me the best amplifier for this speakers?

As I have evo4.4 and listened to 4.2. 4.2 sounds surprisingly nice. But you need a subwoofer. For 4.4, if you listen to high-quality Flac/DSD (where the recording and mixing are of good quality), the bass is enough. You don't need an active sub. (Slot Loaded Profiled Port (SLPP) and several liters solve it...moves several liters of air) In terms of price, the 4.4 could play a league higher..

Miking speakers DOES NOT work. We hear your room big time, miking, your electronics and YT's mp3 compression. Sorry, but it sounds horrendous. I would never buy based on this demo method and can't believe how many reviewers do this.
