This plate is the absolute BEST out there. You cannot top it.

Super Plate is just that, super sounding. The auto decay is a very nice addition. And it's way cheaper than the EMT 140 I had seen for sale on Reverb for $7,000. Easier to fit in anybody's studio too.

Nice verb sound and video. As an aside, I just can't begin to stress how INCREDIBLY tired I am off all three auto tuned vocals. It's such a tired, emotion-sucking effect. 😢

Does anyone know what the song's called? Is it a commercial release or something Parker made for these videos?

This is odd. I have replicated these settings EXACTLY on a dry vocal just like this and the result is crazy washed out. To me, this sounds like you have the Wet/Dry at about 50%....but according to the video, you don't? Whats happening here? Can someone else try to get this effect doing these exact steps and report back?

Probably on a send like it should be?
@evanseesred10 ай бұрын
@@PaulDiGirolamo sure, but if that’s what’s happening, I feel like that should be stated. This video makes it look like it’s on the track itself and is at 100% wet.

@@evanseesred Sorry I was about to edit my reply to be less snarky but you beat me to it lol. I agree it's not specified but that's how it would most likely be used. Anytime you see verb or delay 100% wet I think you can assume it's on a send. Try it like that and see if it sounds better!

@@pauldigirolamo600 thanks! Yeah I think you’re right. I don’t use sends enough, this is a good reminder to
@pauldigirolamo60010 ай бұрын
@@evanseesred Yeah no rule about it of course but it's a good way to glue tracks together using a common "space" and also use less CPU since some reverbs are resource hogs (not sure about this one in particular). If you think about the pre-plugin days they would have one or maybe two plates and a chamber and send everything to that in varying degrees.

Soundtoys - The most microscopic plugins on the planet. They ought to be embarrassed. Get out your magnifying glasses or use a 720P monitor. They're a joke in todays plugin world because of it.
@pauldigirolamo60010 ай бұрын
Out of curiosity I just pulled up SuperPlate, Waves Abbey Road and LiquidSonics Professional and the GUIs are all basically the exact same size/resolution. If anything the SoundToys is slightly more legible. This is VST in Reaper.

Why so angry? Maybe it’s your eyes that need some assistance, because I’ve yet to hear any major complaints or comments from a very robust producer community of these incredible plugins being “a joke in todays plugin world”…
