I love your approach - I did this with my Syncon B when I bought it over 20 years ago 🙂 Good luck, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic desk when it's finished!

Syncon B looks really interesting - is that the only inline console A&H made?

Great stuff Moneeo. It does take alot of time to clean everything, hopefully it will be worth it in the end. Keep up the good work and please keep the video's coming. Thanks very much

Hopefully we get up the speed as we go, and find improvements of the process. 🙂

Really great job!!!! I also have a Jade 40 in, and we arrive in December....it's maintenance month for her...but nothing to do, just have to go through it like you, a lot of patience and hours doing this. Well done again !!!

Thanks mate - great idea to have a maintenance month for your Jade. I'll keep that as inspiration for the coming years!👍

Those square buttons that go through the front panel didn't actually have to be removed, at least to get the front plate off. Good job there.
@moneeoАй бұрын
That,s right, have to check if i can leave em on - that would some time and also be better for the buttons as well. Thanks for the tips!👍

I think you're right about approaching it from a meditative perspective, each board is a gift of communion. My suggestions, you might make a checklist for each board in a spreadsheet so you can track what you did to each channel and I would think about making a jig to hold and protect the channels while inspecting and cleaning the parts. I've really enjoyed your videos and I'm excited to see and hear the results!

Thanks Wes, great thoughts! A jig would be really useful and might do it in this early stage . there are a couple of channels left to work on.😀

Hi i'm enjoying these servicing videos. I have a tip for you, If you wrap electrical tape around each jaw of the pliers they will not mark the buttons, and this makes It quicker to remove them as it feels better and is safer.

Thanks mate, that's an excellent tips - gonna try it right away!👍

@@moneeo Cool, Also something else to think about is they sell Deoxit in an small bottle D5L, so you waste less,, because as you say it is very expensive and it looks like the D5L is even more expensive! But You can just spray the D5 it into a small bottle with a syringe like needle spout, as the D5L bottle has and put a few drops into each switch. Could be worth an experiment as thats a lot of switches! Keep up the good work. Also as i'm watching video you can also spray the D5 into something and wet the tooth brush and again this will waste less!
@moneeoАй бұрын
@@JAMIEPHILLIPS-g3j Aha, that idea with a syringe sounds like a really interesting option. With the spray there is so much waste going beside the switch. Have to look in to that one as well - thanks!🙏

@@moneeo Yo, No problem, Also like I say just spray some into say, a jam jar and wet the tooth brush in that for cleaning connectors. Anyway the whole process will greatly improve the console. Cheers!

Thanks, it was a happy first try that turned out well. Happy to hear that your Soundcraft got some love. ❤ Did you experience a big difference after the cleaning?
@sound-ur1bq10 күн бұрын
@@moneeo yes, lots of pot and switch noise before ,all gone after the cleanup i just didn't need to change any of them, on a 30 years old console used on the field by a national radio station here (France Inter)

there is a way to open theses switches, but be carefull everything can jump out and it takes a long time to fit everything back in there, better method than put it in from outside.
@moneeo12 күн бұрын
Oooh, they would probably be REALLY clean, but it would take some time to do - there are 1,435 switches... 😳😳

@@moneeo yes probably do it only when the external pathway is not enough
