@@shobhittiwari it's not just about dada. Greg Chappel destroyed Irfan Pathan, once a good bowler, by forcing him to become all rounder. So many players were tried during his time like jp yadav, venugopal rao but except few like dhoni, raina only could make it count. Besides I think Dravid was not free in decision making. There was so much interference of Greg in every decision.

@@shobhittiwari You are wrong, Chappel fiasco happened before 2007 World cup, by 2007 world cup, Dada already made a come back into the team with an astonishing average of 65 - 70 post come back. In fact, he was the first person to be selected in the team after captain Dravid. 2007 world cup was a collective team failure and hard luck but post that world cup too he played and got a double hundred against Pakistan in test series.

@@shobhittiwari The only thing that was against Dada after come back was a dip in strike rate, he fielded well too and took some good catches post his come back and in initial years of IPL. When haters are pointing fingers at him, when blamed unnecessarily and made the scapegoat, he underwent the grind in domestic and county cricket and came back into the team and scored runs - more than his past career average. At that point no one ever had a bigger come back story than him. And now too.
