Beautifull demo... Im having a real hard time chosing between this and the Walrus Slo/fathom/arp combo. Its either Collider or the three Walrus pedals to use with my HX stomp (for a bedroom player/home recording guy). Heeeelp

Thanks! I always go for stereo delay and reverb when possible, and HX Stomp is great for stereo chains so it’d be an easy choice for me among these 4 pedals. Can’t say anything if you have a fully mono rig. I haven’t tried those Walrus pedals.

Really appreciate you going further into the endless options of the SA-pedals than most other reviewers. (I don't own a collider, since I have a ventris and nemesis there's no need I think.) Great presets my friend. I was peeking into the NEURO app, and I saw that the possible settings, when going into EDIT to create a preset, are very different between Ventris Dual Reverb and COLLIDER. Regardless of the delay, obviously absent, many parameters in the Collider section are missing in the Reverb settings. In the Ventris Dual Reverb there are many more editing possibilities. Have you noticed too? Strange though, it should be the exact same algorithm.

Thanks! Yes that’s correct. The Collider is supposed to be much simpler compared to Ventris and Nemesis. It doesn’t have hidden settings in the editor, everything is available right on the pedal. The algorithms are the same but Collider just has less parameters.

Hello!! Thanks again...this is one of the best channels I found from a harpist perspective!! Question: do you know if there is any way to get one sound on the left and another sound don't the right in stereo mode? Might sound weird but it makes sense with an electric harp ^^

I didn’t notice an increase in noise with the Collider in my signal chain. I use mine in the fx loop of my HX Stomp with clean amp simulations.

You can hear the reverb hold at 1:59. Ventris has more reverbs but no delays so it depends on what you need.

Thank you! These are mostly more over the top effects. Maybe you prefer them subtler? I’m using a Charvel DC-2 (with passive Seymour Duncan pickups) and Line 6 HX Stomp with a clean Fender amp model here. Also, I’d definitely keep the Collider!

@@DoNoise No, hey-i wasn't being critical of the affected tones. It's just that a few of the 'raw' tones were just... elegant. Not sure how else to describe them. I would not have guessed you were playing that kind of guitar. Looks like a modern metal machine, but i guess it's versatile enough to do the subtle thing. Really love that thing @2:37

@@CentaurusRelax314 got it :) I really like the range of tones I get from this guitar. I’m not a fan of how it looks but it has the best neck ever. After getting used to it any other neck feels a bit wrong. I changed the active pickups to passives with splits so it’s very versatile. Thanks again!

Thanks! I was just using a short delay with modulation to create a flanger effect.

Thanks! The signal chain is Guitar into Line 6 HX Stomp. In the HX Stomp, Amp (clean Fender amp model) into FX Loop (Collider) into stereo cabs.

when doing these presets, are the knobs supposed to be positioned the same for both delay and reverb?

No they are adjusted separately. Knobs might not be reflecting the actual values here, though. I’ve been going through the presets I made earlier.

Is it true that the Collider's preset switching takes between 200 ms and 1 second (when using Midi / Effects Switcher)? I would need something like the collider for my live pedalboard, but waiting a second for the sound to appear is not okay at all. Do you have any experience with that?

I made shootout videos featuring the Multistomp, Nemesis and Ventris. You can probably get an idea based on those videos. I like the more interesting delays on Multistomp like pitch or filter delay but I don’t like its regular delays (like tape or analog) and reverbs. If you’re using the Multistomp for lofi sounds, you can use Collider for delay and reverb. They’d work great together.

I’ve literally just swapped an HXFx for a Collider, I much prefer the Collider sound wise, it’s prob just my perception but the delays seem to have more character and sit better in the overall guitar sound, plus the infinite hold feature is awesome for helping to bulk up the sound or transition from one song to another, it also works on the delay too.

Yes it can. It also has a dedicated swell reverb engine. No volume pedal here.
