I was looking for a MIDI gain pedal, found the Kingmaker, and then went down the rabbit hole with the One Series. Now I've got the Ventris, Nemesis, and one of each other grouping on order, including this Ultrawave :) Awesome Stuff. I'd love to see this concept expanded further down the line with outboard effects integration via FX loops, assignable on a per band basis, while still maintaining stereo I/O capabilities. A pedal like that could become the de facto layering/texturing tool.

I've owned my new Source Audio Soundblox Pro Multiwave Distortion for many years; it's been on my board ever since. Finally have a new UltraWave in the mail that may replace my MWD. Even after all these years, I can find new usable sounds in the MWD, the UW is expanding the options even further.

I love so much this pedal. Congratulations for this creation! For now i have a Multiwave version 1 for my guitar, but i'm planning to get a Multiwave 2 for bass. May be later i will get an Ultrawave.

Fabulous :) So glad about the envelope control for tremelo and the multiband trem too :D Good there are regular distortions :) Think this will arrive before the C4 :) and stereo :O Blowing/ opening mind :D

I'm going to definitely buy one but guys, when doing a demo like this, play into a looper before the effect so you aren't just always manipulating parameters on a note/chord thats quickly ringing out...

I just buy the aftershock and I had the "Ultimate" C4, I hope Nathan Navarro will show us how it work on bass. Maybe my next purchase. I really like source audio pedals

Why make the attack and release knobs backwards?

I wish you could improve the knob functionality, this unit is so deep that simple “assign knob to compressor gain” will not cut it even with the morph function.if we can combine at least two functions to one knob especially with range A.K.A. Novation circuit macro knobs, or at least have secondary function per knob , or split the knob to two function (noon left one function, noon right another function) aka the ribbons pedal or chasebliss habit/mood pedals that would make this pedal more versatile, especially for mini/portable keyboard/synth setups where you don’t have space for expansions pedals, extra cables etc. for now I will try the MIDI Expander but that is 3-4 more cables to a setup. in either case, this is the most versatile distortion pedal in history of pedals, I can replace the Elektron Heat (expensive) with ultrawave.

How do you save a preset that is in the Neuro editor to the actual pedal? What is the procedure?

CAN YOU SET UP A SOUND THAT CHAINS MULTIPLE sa FX, YES BUT THEN CAN YOU USE THOSE CONTROL SETTINGS AT THE BOTTOM TO INSERT THERIR EXPRESSION PEDAL TO MANIPULAT PARAMETERS ON THE FLY WITHIN THAT MIDI SOUND THAT HAS BEEN SELECTED? Dammed caps lock. Can you adjust one or more parameter(s) on two separate pedals at once in this way using the SA expression pedal?while using the neuro hub and midi controller? Crazy stuff. They are now making me regret buying all of those analog pedals when you can see how far out on a limb you can go. Is it time to dump those Reverbs and echo, eq, compressor, tremelo pedals yet? Lets see how this experiment goes.

This is very very nice. I personally would like the ability to mute beats to make rythms and polyrythms and go beyond tremolo. And I would also like a ring mod with a pitch tracker that would keep me tuned so I could have a consistent for example bell texture thoughout the scale or just keep me always tuned. But that's just me. Otherwise this is very innovative. Bravo.

Suggestion: the Electro-Harmonix Ring Thing has a modulation in for replacing the internal carrier oscillators control, if you use an electrec mic like a singer and a pre amp you can use your voice as the carrier input, that way you hear what your doing and stay in tune always while having hands free, your voice turns into a means of creating the guitars version of ORGAN STOPS as if using the draw bars of an organ, for example if you sing a note an octave lower than the note you play you get a note a fifth above that (1 +2= 3).

QUESTION: Let's say I feed the "modulation in" with a pitch shifted signal that keeps a steady interval difference between the two signals: Will the sum and difference of one specific played note, with a specific pitch difference, that has a desired, lets say, bell timbre, be timbrely consistant with all the other played notes? Or is the algorithm needed for timbral consistancy more complicated?

@@MYGAS21 every frequency value in HZ present in the carrier will both add and subtract with every frequency value in HZ present in the input signal, so which is which does not matter! That is a sine wave as carrier with a guitar signal as input does the same thing as a guitar signal as carrier with the sine wave as signal, its like a mixer (quite literally its a non linear mixer), once mixed it matters not which is which. So if you maintain the same ratio between carrier and signal you get the same timbre consistently as you surmise. If ether the carrier of the signal is steady while the other changes it changes the timbre, any change in ratio is an instant change in timbre. Now if the carrier (or signal, it does not matter) is your VOICE regardless of any concepts that you have you will get what amounts to vocal control over the guitars timbre which will rapidly become very intuitive with even just a little practice, never mind trying to FIGURE it out, just ACT, you'll quickly discover what you like and don't like. Now I do this with an expression pedal, on a setting of 10 we can not fine tune pitch with our foot but on a setting of 6 or less we CAN, we can play an exact melody with the foot so the guitar in effect has a third "hand", often the primary melody is heard as the CARRIER FREQUENCY! So my foot controls the apparent LEAD, the guitar is kind of reduced a bit to a chord supplier where leads are less often a result of fingering but emerge from the "footing" instead. Now it takes some practice and skill to play what amounts to a guitar slide with the foot, but using the VOICE to control the carrier frequency is much much easier and many times more expressive. I use BOTH means for DOUBLE LEADS, like some kind of extreme whammy with actual whammy AND whammy pedal. My expreience of the ring modulator, which is considerable, is that no matter how you set it the tone quickly becomes irritating, which is why the vast majority avoided ring modulators. all ring modulators should come with a pedal attached, like a wha wha, because it is nearly always better to keep changing the carrier frequencies, then the carrier spells out an expressive melody with harmony that has characteristics of timbre (like an organ stop) which turns the ring modulator from irritating to fascinating. The designers did not realize the pedal is essential to the true function, just as the wah wah was first a knob operates static device, an epic fail. A satic wha wha is called a "cocked wha" but a cocked ring mod is much less tolerable, motion is required. This is a pedal operated ring mod, my first run when I'm not so skilled but running on intuition. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXiaY4yNpsSlg9k

Oh, in this case the ring mod is the Boss SY1 synth pedal which as a superb expression controlled ring mod function with a number of variant types, you can hear the gliding melodies of the carrier and the bizarre timbres they form, it really does sound like what would be imagined for the Sirens of Greek myth

@@billwesley Again I must thank you. I found your comments extreamly insightful. I totally agree that there is a potential in Ringmods that has not been explored yet. And there is an aesthetic I would desribe as magical sacred and gamelanish, that is still just a dream for me and have not managed to achieve yet with a ring mod. You have come more close to it, but your instrument has some of that kind of magic already! ...even without the ring mod, me thinks. Made me realise I should experiment either with my Philosopher King or my EHX Attack Decay for the best plucky envelope that comes close to that of a bell or a gong. You also made me realise I could probably use the expression input of my RINGWORM or my MF RING and the way to do it. The SUBDECAY, VITRUVIAN MOD has this concept of pitch shifting at a set interval the carrier signal according to the input, but unfortunately it doesn't track well, and is very glitchy. A disappointment. The BOSS SY-1 tracks well but does it do what the VITRUVIAN failed to do? The videos I watched didn't cover the specifics of its' ring mod effect.
