Hi Jay, Thank you for another great video. I was finally able to replicate your drawing in ACAD 2018, however there were some challenges that I managed to overcome, but only by trial and error. The initial 2D drawing is made up of intersecting straight lines, arcs (created by the fillets) and arcs created by the circles. I was initially unable to EXTUDE or PUSH PULL to make the 3D object. The problem was that I didn’t have closed polylines. After some trial and error, I found the BOUNDARY command in HATCH worked some of the time. Also, I don’t think ACAD has the extrude function in both directions? My solution was PUSH PULL the profile in 1 direction, then go underneath and repeat in the opposite direction. There still was a problem, sometimes I would “lose” the original polyline. EXTRACT EDGES didn’t work for me, I then tried EXTRUDE FACES option, and this worked. When you encounter such problems, is there a methodology you apply as a fix this? May I request a video tutorial which might illustrate the problems I’ve described and the methodology to overcome them.

Were the 3D dimensions ever shown anywhere on this video or am I not seeing it on the drawing?

when you added the fillet I noticed it didn't seem to update (on screen) until you hit enter is that true? A lot of times I'm doing my design by looks (visual). I understand I can just undo the fillet and redo it a few times how ever it's quicker and easier if you type your dimension and it updates on screen for a visual view without having to undo and redo it. Understand that my cad work is for my 3d printing hobby and currently using F360, how ever I'd like to dump windows which is why I'm looking at BricsCAD. This isn't a deal breaker just a blah I wish it had type feature.

I'm trying to create the part shown here within BricsCAD 23.1.07. In its default configuration, it seems that this version of BricsCAD does not recognize intersection points. Do you know how to enable this feature?

Also, I've already tried changing the "Intersection" and "Apparent Intersection", but that doesn't seem to affect the behavior I've seen.

Im starting out new to this, its only a hobby but would like to make somethings for the house, would you say Bricscad is a good entry level program?

I use Bricscad professionally (as a senior draftsman) - this isn't entry level software, although relatively easy to pick up. A few good questions to ask yourself is: what are you going to be using it for? If you are only going to design a few few things for around the house as you say, maybe consider drafting on paper (quite easy to do and very cheap compared to expensive software) or perhaps the free version of Google sketchtup. If you intend to sell your designs and need a more professional finish to your drawings, maybe hire a craftsman, or if you feel the need, you could get a month's subscription to AutoCAD - which should give you plenty of time to draft up whatever you need for small projects
