It looks mandatory to annotate to simultaneously adjust while you play around the scale at layout. If you do not use annotative it will appear the object be too big or too small and get into trouble finding right scale setting in layout. Helpful content thank you🙌🏼

I am finding it hard to have my drawings, in multiple viewports on a paper with different scales... When scaling, all annotative scales on the dimensions and leaders are showing... Help...

Very good explanation. Thank you. I do have one question, if you don't mind. I am trying to find a procedure for entering text into a title block. I created an annotative text style (Arial, size 0) and used the 'text' function. AutoCAD asked me at which scale this should be. ... This is where I am confused. As well, when I input the text "LEGEND" into the title block in Model Space, it was absolutely huge, yet in the Paper Space it did not exist. Why did it turn out so large? The text should be .25mm, not half a meter! I wonder if you could please explain this procedure. Thank you again for an excellent video. I am one step closer to getting my title block right.

When should I use annotative and when not to?
@chrisb39277 жыл бұрын
In model space, when I change the annotation scale, for instance, from 1/8" to 1/2" scale, all the previous dimensions done at 1/8" change to 1/2" scale dimension. How can I change the dimension scales without altering the previously done dimensions? Thank you in advance. Chris

@7mulud7 жыл бұрын
Nice and clear explanation. But, is there any possible way to create new dimension automatically annotative without having to change it through the properties tab? You know that autocad mechanical always put any new dimension in a substyles (with $) according to its type, and unfortunately its not directly annotative although we've already set the parent style to annotative. Its a bit frustrating especially when we deals with a large number of dimensions and more than 2 viewports. Help would be very appreciated. Thank you.

when I copy an object in multiply and increase the scale of one of them but scale of remaining objects is not increase?
@sourcecad8 жыл бұрын
I am not able to properly understand your question Yasir, are you talking about scaling annotative objects using SCALE command?
@abubeta43988 жыл бұрын
+SourceCAD yeah exactly
@sourcecad8 жыл бұрын
If you have made objects annotative then their scale will adjust according to the overall scale of your drawing to give you a constant size of those objects so its completely normal. Moreover annotative property is applicable to some named objects like blocks, text style etc not to the drawing as a whole.
