Great video and awesome car but I would correct the drive on one thing, FD RX-7 twin turbo's are the same size, there's no smaller or larger turbo's, one comes on boost after the other.

Awesome video! This answers so many questions! The only other questions that would be good to know is a high/low/average cost for the total services at the shop (basic maintenance, details, fees & taxes, etc.). After that $40K and once the car gets stateside, probably need to have another what, $2-5K on hand?! And the VIP style cars you have, are those imported that way or are those in-house modifications?!

Basic Maintenance, and the full Detail is included as part of our import fee. Any other modifications or repairs would be done at our shop rate. There are multiple things to consider on the final price, however we can typically estimate what the landed price will be from the purchase price in Japan. Typically including all fees, transport costs, customs taxes, etc it is around 4-6K on top of the auction price in Japan. Granted the more expensive the car is in Japan, the more expensive those fees can get. We typically start the sourcing process with the customers specific total budget in mind, and strive to work within that budget. That also dictates what we collectively can bid up to on certain cars, keeping in mind the other necessary costs involved with getting the car stateside. The VIP cars are 9 times out of 10 modified in house, they come to us looking like grandmas car and leave strutting a VIP stance;)

Definitely would be more cost effective to import one. The price of JZs alone are super expensive. Now is the perfect time to hop on the Second Gen Aristos as the early models are available in August for import. I have seen a few Tom's Edition floating around already:)
