Remember when the Phantom Lord guild needed four of their strongest wizards and an entire mecha to form a magic circle after their Jupiter cannon was destroyed and which took 15 minutes or something to complete? That was Abyss Break, the very same spell that Jellal would have just formed on his own in 2 seconds flat if not for the wound Erza gave him when he was still split. That should give you some idea of the level of power this guy has. He was not one of the Ten Wizard Saints for nothing. Also Erza's eye wasn't really healed in the classical sense. It's a bit misleadingly worded in this episode, but Porlyuscia gave her an artificially made replacement. She can see with it as well as with her real one, but that right eye is prosthetic replacement. Either her real one was taken by those Zeref cultists or damaged beyond repair.

One of the biggest frustrations I have about Fairytail is that Mashima didn't expand on Jellal's powers. One of the most op dudes in the show and we got to see so little. Him and Mira Jane as well, have such cool magic but feel like wasted potential.

Sadly, since Jellal is just so powerful, the author has to find a way to either nerf him or make him be absent every arc so he doesn't just win every fight. SPOILERS: That said, I will never complain about the way he did so in the Grand Magic Games, I laughed so hard at that damn episode that I don't even care about the disappointment.

The way it works is that the lacrima contained all kinds of magic elements including fire, and natsu's skills helped him to mainly absorb the fire magic from it. That's what it was about... He'll soon know the consequences of consuming other types of magic than fire soon enough.

Like he absorbs it all and burns down other types or burns them to wear he can use. Obv tho right now is the start to his body trying to do it and he gets sick but later on the island I think makarov talks about it bc he eats flames from a god slayer.

Dragon Force is like a Mode for Dragon Slayers. But Natsu can't use it at will. He just happened to eat Etherion for him to use it. But it is one of the most powerful Dragon Slayers' Abilities.

Love my boy natsu but he got lucky in this fight actually😂 1. He wouldve been poisoned or incapacitated if him eating ethernano had gone wrong 2. Him and erza wouldve been destroyed completely along with the tower if jellal didnt felt the after shock of erza's attack and used abyss break

Usually I would agree but natsu definitely seemed like he had a decent amount of energy still left after he won but once he realized jellal was beat probably realized he can rest easy

I dont think anyones mentioned it yet, but the little pin that bounces past the screen is a Wizard Saints pin, so Jellal was considered one of the top 10 wizards in the country. Meaning he was on a similar level to Master Makarov and Phantom Lords old guild master Jose

Take note of Erza's fake eye here so that you won't get confuse later in the story because It will play a big role on Erza's fights in the future which is what haters that don't really watch the show and only bash it because they don't know and can't understand.

This is the first time Natsu was able to used Dragon Force its the strongest form of being a Dragon Slayer next time he will used it again is in my most favorite arc of course with another help of someone by eating special flames. The whole gang Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Gray are my favorite characters but my most favorite is Jellal I like his character design and also his character. Next arc battle of all Fairy Tail members the Fighting Festival Arc. Gonna wait for it

Siegrain alone (part of Jellal's power that he split off from himself) was already a Wizard Saint, the same title Makarov and Jose had (there are 10 though and they vary a bit, so that doesn't say much more than just him being stronger than anyone else we know including the likes of Erza and Laxus), while Jellal without that power was strong enough to hold his own against Erza. With them merged, Jellal could very well be comparable to Makarov himself, there's no way Natsu would even be able to put up a fight, he had zero chance whatsoever. But well... Etherion is a nuke. And if there's one thing I know for sure is that a nuke is very good as killing things, even if they are Wizard Saints. So, we just eat the nuke. Very solid reasoning from Natsu's part isn't it?

Nastu at that moment is not stronger then erza it just this his first time using dragon forces he cant do it normally but yea all dragon slayer have it and it look different (my favorite is wendys plus with the new power boost he have in the 100 year quest it beautiful)

nah he was definitely stronger than that erza at least maybe not stronger than a full power jellal but even that is actually arguable since everyone including him get extremely more powerful with time so you can argue that that current natsu was stronger than that erza and that jellal

@@stevs4696 if he fight erza he will lose this dragon forces is weak compared to newer ones ( not going to spoil much ) but erza is show to be much stronger them most of the newer ones and if seem in the 100 year quest she still seem higher but that up for debate ( chapters 44 ) look at that and look at the newer one he might get a new power up but im not 100% sure

@@anthonyulloa340 my guy you gotta understand that this erza isn't as strong as the 100 year quest erza or even the erza from the next exact arc everyone got extremely more powerful throughout the series infact current lucy might be able to beat the erza in this arc that's just how powerful everyone gets and it really clear here that jellal was way stronger than erza here and natsu was able to beat him provided he didn't use his best attack why are you even comparing this dragon force to anything after that heck current base natsu is way stronger than this dragon force natsu it ain't even a comparison

Lacrima is a processed source of magic (where it will explained later or i think it was explain already i forgot hehe) so natsu eat it and give him a sudden boost to tap on his latent power it's like naruto using 1 tail to 9 tail formula of power up so i don't get it why aliens hates fairy tail for "sudden power up" they said it was nonsense lmao HAHAHAH so frickin aliens... So I have a theory here. BTW MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD So I'm not sure if this is confirmed in the series due to my watching of the series being a few years ago. But I believe that the reason Natsu didn't die from the ethernano consumption is because his body is already part ethernano since he is Etherious Natsu Dragneel, or END. I also believe this is why he was able to use laxus lightning as well due to ethernano containing more than just fire magic in it.
