I lived there but in the 90s it was much better than now. Port El Khantaoui was a destination for the rich, it was luxury there were shows, an amphitheater on the beach (they destroyed it) and even a funfair that took place every summer. it was a paradise on earth

Hello I’m due to go in December but see a lot of things about excercising caution did you ever feel unsafe when you went im staying in port el Kantaoui

If you're a woman, you should be a little cautious. I stayed in all-inclusive hotel and basically I didn't go outside except for the group excursions I have booked. I filmed this video during the Sousse and Monastir excursion.

Where is the best place to stay sousse or port of Kantaoui?

For me Port El Kantaoui is better option. At both places you'll find plenty of hotels that operate on All-inclusive. So, choose the hotel you like. Sousse is a town, whereas Port El Kantaoui is a resort with more laid-back ambiance. You can get a taxi and go from one place to another. You can also book tours at your hotel to go and see many places in Tunisia.

How close is Port El Kantaoui from Sousse and what’s the easiest way to get around as a woman?

There is 10 km distance. You need to get a taxi. There are many taxis. Bare in mind that most likely they'll overcharge you. The price should be no more than 15-18 dinars.
