I was in America three years ago and could not understand why people are not greeting you when you walk into a store. We take it for granted in South Africa that you can walk into a store or mall like this and strike up a conversation almost any where with any one. I had an Australian visitor once and after a similar shopping mall trip she asked me how is it possible that I know so many people. She was shocked when I told her that I knew nobody but it is rude for us if people din’t greet one another or strike up a conversation even while shopping together. As white people we were 25% of the population during the Apartheid years, now we are only 9%. Most of my friends left for Australia, New Zealand, Europe, America, Canada to mention a few. We have been often asked why do we stay. Many reasons but top of the list: our people! I have done a fair amount of traveling and although Thai people might be called the most friendly nation, there is no continent where you can connect with people like in Aftica. I love to engage with people and jut love love my country. I always watch your videos and get your message for African Americans. What I miss however is that you never rever to any other culture. We have black, white, Indiian, San Asian and mixed race or as we refer to as colored people. All wih their own culture and like you in America most of us have been on the continent for hundreds of years. I am first South African and then my skin colour happen to be white. What I challenge you is to start looking out for the fusion of our cultures with inter racial mariages as well as suttle things we all share as South Africans. White American police men should pay a visit to see how they are suppose to treat black people as just normal human beings😂Thank you for this wonder channel. I am glued every time👌🏼

Hey guys I've waiting all week for part 2 of this day in the life video. I got to let my people in SA know that we on both side of the Atlantic as black people have to be thankful to the Blantons because through their content they are bringing down the wall of miss education that have been created to keep us apart and ignorant of each other for centuries. Personally I can't wait to come and see the land and the people of my ancestors.

This is amazing! Our African American brothers and sister appreciate what we take for granted here in South aFRICA. I had been watching these videos and noticing that what are in these videos are normal to South African life but it’s amazing how what is viewed as “norm” is being viewed with great enthusiasm by our offshore brothers and sisters. This is so refreshing and encouraging to me as South African. I WOULD LOVE TO MEET MY AFRICAN AMERICAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS HERE AT HOME IN SOUTH AFRICA.

I've been watching your videos and just subscribed. I don't know what I was expecting, but I'll just say wow and I'm coming. Feel guilty that it's taken me so long, especially since I had no hesitation about traveling to many European countries. I'm bringing my "tween" kids and I often wonder how it would have impacted them to grow up in a majority black country. Dr. Blanton hit it on the head when she said that Africa is viewed as a bucket list item for most of us and that was definitely the case with me and my husband. One hesitation I would have about moving anywhere permanently would be healthcare. But, I will definitely be visiting. My girlfriends and I were planning a trip to Napa Valley for our annual "Girl's Trip." I'm going to see if we can put South Africa on the list instead. LOL. You guys are really helping to change the narrative. Thank you. PS...That neighborhood/ Those homes look amazing.

Truly enjoy this more than the business interviews. I’d say number 1.Watching yourl driving around and showcasing infrastructure and number 2.Seeing your American visitors and listening to their takes that’s enjoyable as well, 3.Business Interviews and lastly 4.Tourist destination videos are lowkey the pits 🤧 can’t even watch more than a minute of those. I try but iss dreadful... I might enjoy the SunCity one though if it comes

@@mosalethoba5267 interesting that the French people who taught AmaZulu and AmaXhosa, took a decision to say the Nama Kg, should be spelled with Rh. It seems like the Tswana's and Mngunis descended from central Africa and mingled with the Nama. Do some research , that is if you are interested .

Not sure if this is a silly question please don’t judge . The puma , foot locker or designer shops are the prices more reasonable compared to the U.K. or it’s similar . Basically do you get more for your money .

Hello Mel, first of all the brands are all here plus the African brands in some cases they have different selection than in the US for sure. The prices are okay however with the exchange rate and when you leave the country you get your VAT back when you visit the VAT office that is 15 percent off/back on your purchase

In terms of retail items. SA is much more expensive (even after conversion) than all developed countries. Idk why the hell these labels are so expensive here yet yet so affordable overseas. I think it’s because we view them as exclusive so they overcharge here. But in terms of food and houses it’s much cheaper because we produce those ourselves. But cellphones and all other things are expensive AF this part of the world. It’s even cheaper buying and importing an iPhones from overseas 🤷‍♂️
