The 2015 South Africa side gets a lot more recognition than they actually deserve. Firstly they played the whole WC without a frontline fifth bowler, Duminy used to fill in those overs but he's not a frontline bowler like Kallis or Yuvraj. Secondly the moment opponent got on them they just cracked, they were fragile. The group stage games against IND and PAK where they faltered in chase prime examples of it. If they had reached finals Aussies would have eaten them like barbecues.

Literally an intense game, thrill was always alive 1. First ten overs it was South Africa trying to survive new ball specialists' attack from Boult and Southee 2. All the way to 26-28 overs South Africa kept building their innings and then ABD and Faf Du plessis accelerated. 3. But then the rain comes after some great performances and then after the rain stops, South Africa went guns blazing. 4. Now it was Newzealand non specialist bowlers trying to get away from SA batting. 5. Then in Newzealand innings their skipper turned the game on by reducing the required run rate for his team to almost 6 but job was not done. 6. Partnerships kept breaking and rebuilding the game could go in favour of any side.

Never. With de Villiers and Miller, you could never know where they'll finish if they got 50 overs. We already saw how de Villiers accelerates in the final 10, and he has 290.9 SR in final 10 overs in this tournament. NZ was just lucky that the rain came and SA couldn't get the full overs. 17 run extra from DLS is nothing compared to the firepower SA had.
