South Africa, Cape Province, Civil Deaths, 1895-1972:
goo.gl/7FCLwb
(The title of the collection is slightly misleading, as at this stage Cape Province Civil Deaths have only been uploaded up to and including 1954 on FamilySearch)

A great presentation btw. I have been struggling with my 2 x great grandmother's sister's death place and date for ages. She along with husband (Charles Philip BROOKS and Mary Ann BROOKS) and 3 of their children her family moved from Sydney to Natal, South Africa between Jan 1905 and Dec 1906. I have a newspaper article regarding the marriage of their daughter Winifred BROOKS (marriage in Sydney Australia) from April 1912 that states that Charles Brooks (her father) is a resident of Roodepoort, Transvaal, South Africa. That's all I have on them. I have asked on the South African Genealogy Facebook page a couple of times and have come up with nothing. I have no idea when or where Mary Ann BROOKS nee SIM died....that is my problem. If I had a morsel of info I could perhaps do a search just like your video above. It's even possible that Mary Ann Brooks didn't die in South Africa although I've come up with nothing in all of my searching through Ancestry. Charles and Mary Ann Brooks built Carisbrook House in Sydney. It's on the harbour and is open to the public. The trustees there don't even know where or when Charles or Mary Ann died and they along with myself would dearly love to know. Any tips you can give me would be deeply appreciated. Thankyou, Anne.
