Simple fact: in 2005, Israel forced all Jews out of Gaza and handed Gaza over to the Palestinians. Had they chosen to be peaceful, Gaza could be like Singapore today. There would be no blockade, no nonsensical talk of "occupation". But they chose to attack Israel, and have launched tens of thousand of rockets constantly since then at Israeli civilians. It's the Palestinians' own fault. And since Hamas has vowed to repeat October 7 and kill all Jews they can, and totally rejects the two-state solution they already had (Israel 1, Gaza is 2), Israel has no choice but to destroy Hamas. And if that means children die in the process, that's unfortunate (and it's obviously not Israel's goal), but that's war. And Israel didn't start this war. Does that help convince you?
