Hello. This song is not about a BU story. All the BTS BU stories are entirely fictional. This song is about J- hope's mother & her longstanding support & love for him & his love for dance. Before becoming an idol, dancing was all he dreamed of. In Korea, this is not a career that is thought of as one that would be one where you can make a living or provide for a family. J-hope has never been left by his mother at a theme park or had any type of addiction. J-hope's mother was away from home because she took several jobs to help provide for him to go to dance classes because she believed in him. She knew if he wanted it that much she wanted it for him too. His father teaches literature. He has a sister. This song is a thank you to his mother for all the sacrifices she made to help him fulfill his dreams & to tell her that now she can lean on him. Are you gonna watch J-hope's performance at Lollapalooza Concert headlining? He did so well alone. His father didn't approve before he become a part of Big Hit. He was just a hip-hop dancer. He learned how to rap as a trainee and RM and Suga helped him. Once they were doing well his father accepted it. Once in a concert Tae asked his father from the platform to greet Hobie's father, it must have been the first time he came to see him. It was so cute of Tae. I think his mom worked a job in a far away place to support him.

all kpop idols, even the ones whom always rap and never actually sing in their songs, have nice vocals. they all trained the same training, therefore they all have the same basics. some are better that others of course and that’s why there are positions assigned to them.

That is not true. haha. Like I'm not trying to be a hater, but there are definitely idols who can't sing. Most of them rap because of that. j-hope is a great vocalist beyond just being able to carry a note in a studio that eventually gets smoothed over with autotune. j-hope is a bonafide singer with great technique and a well-rounded instrument.
