@Asa Foster the reply was intended to show respect for the courage, selflessness and dedication to his fellow soldiers that was displayed by a service member who valued the lives of others above his own. @@jonograhamreacts you MUST look into his story. it will leave you wondering how one man could do such things and live. When Ronald Reagan was presenting the MoH to 5th SFG SSgt Roy Benavidez (TMM), the president said something like, _"If the actions of Roy Benavidez were the script for a movie, I would never believe it."_ but to receive the MoH, part of the process is interviewing direct witnesses, gathering physical evidence, and review of official reports filed by those people involved in the action that produced the situation.

Y'all have JTF2 I mean of course it's nice to have America as your backup but that is one real elite Force y'all have to protect ya country. Again no it is nice to have allies I do wish though America didn't have to be the world police for everyone so just wish other countries followed suit and making a force big enough not only to invade and take over other countries but to protect themselves instead though everyone just relies on us. Of course America isn't afraid as you can see throughout history even today we have bases in almost every one of our enemies backyard, we even have active bases in our enemies yards and somehow we're still not spread thin from helping everybody else out or invading nations in order to get resources. I went off on a rant but yes it is nice to have allies 😅😅 sometimes it just honestly feels like America is its own Allie and everyone else is just there until they need our help

Many years ago, I watched the old black and white movie Sargeant York. Base on the Medal of Honor exploits of York during WW1. The circumstances that brought him to the heroic actions he took. One of my top five favorite movies. I knew of the Medal of Honor, but the film peaked my curiosity and I looked into the actions of these heroes. Their selfless actions undertaken to preserve human life. Retrieving a fallen comrade, insuring a safe retreat, rescuing those hopelessly pinned by enemy fire. No need to look at Marvel Comics for super heroes...They exist in militaries around the globe.

I highly recommend the book Alone At Dawn. These guys had been to this summit earlier, but their helicopter had to dodge a RPG and Petty Officer Roberts fell. Not knowing if he was alive or dead. In the code of leave no man behind. The SEALS said we are going back. Chapman said he was going too, even though he didn't have to. The narrator makes it seem as Chapman is completely alone in the charge of the first bunker. Not exactly true. See Al Qaeda doesn't have night vision, the team does. When the team leader comes up behind John he is laying down suppressing fire and that is all Al Qaeda can see is his muzzle flashes. When John got hit in the bunker, the team leader said he could see the breath exhaust in the cold. But then when John would not respond to him and he no longer could see his breath, he thought John had died. Or would not have left him.

Gonna say a few things, one love your attitude, two, as an American and USMC vet of Iraq and Afghanistan, I have no problem with people who protest the war, your government’s actions, if you think it’s wrong, as a whole, sure protest the war, not the people. We are all doing what we think best/is the correct action, we all do things we think best. Just think, and don’t target those you shouldn’t on either end of the beliefs. That’s literally why we exist, what we fight for. Now, people who openly target people for no reason. They are fair game, for humiliation, etc, as most likely they have never done, 1/1000th of a regular member of the military, let alone what MSgt Chapman did. Also. Too bad he wasn’t with Marines. We wouldn’t have left him up there, alone. We’d dig in, if we couldn’t get him out. We are fanatics to the extreme. And cannot “win” against us, we beat people dying for their god emperor, who fought to the last man, and we crushed them under our boots. So any navy man, or seal that sees this, not talking shit. Just the truth. We woulda stayed on that mountain, or got him out. As no one more fanatical than a US Marine for his buddies/fellow Americans.

🇺🇸 here....we, the very vast majority of the people, definitely love & respect our service people regardless of what our feelings are towards our government who honestly do not do either. IF our government loved & respected our service people, as we do, they would NOT be sent into wars on boldface lies(Iraq the 2nd go-round), they WOULD GET the medical & psychological treatment EXPECTED, NECESSARY AND REQUIRED for their combat & injuries(which they do NOT), we DEFINITELY WOULD NOT have the unbelievably high number of homeless veterans as there is, there WOULD NOT be on average 22 veterans killing themselves DAILY for the last decade+ and our ACTIVE duty service people, to say nothing of our vets, would NOT be made to rely on WELFARE/food stamps/EBT to survive. So yeah....we 🇺🇸s who ACTUALLY care for, love and respect our service people absolutely DO criticize OUR GOVERNMENT and RIGHTLY SO. What you do NOT see is us criticizing our service members in uniform. It's a line that those in power that don't actually support & respect our troops LOVE to blur to THEIR advantage which is definitely NOT our troops advantage...only their peril. Just some food for thought...

There’s a lot of bravery here but I want to highlight someone specifically another Air Force man named Jason Cunningham he was a pararescueman new guy. Jason was on the helicopter that landed with the rangers and began treating wounded on the impact basically. He was shooting, moving wounded to safer positions, shooting some more to go grab another wounded guy take them to cover he did this nonstop even when he himself was wounded. He then realized he was hit and the ranger medic wanted to treat him he refused medical care and continued to fight and take care of his patients. At the end of the battle he was exhausted and bleeding out his eyes were fading and 30 minutes before extract he fell asleep never to wake up again. For his actions he was awarded the Air Force Cross. The team leader also received the Medal of Honor the entire SEAL team had Navy Crosses unknown amount of bronze stars with a V for Valor and Silver Stars with V for Valor and most men got Purple Hearts which indicates you are wounded. Let’s just say it was hard to not award every man a MoH bc they all fought like enraged animals on Roberts Ridge. God bless them all🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Yeah no one protests the military, please do your research before speaking on things. We’ve protested wars and get annoyed with the government sending $400-600 billion dollars to the military when the soldiers don’t really see any of it. Also what you said was propaganda used by one side to discredit a whole movement. But I believe it was said out of ignorance not hate just be careful who you get your American news from especially if you’re going to share it online as fact. I think the protest you’re referring to is for racial inequality, social injustice, and police brutality but of course the people you get your news from can’t make opinions opposing any of that without looking like the bad guys so THEY gave the protest their own meaning which they settled on disrespecting the military because that’s something they can use to oppose the movement
